Working in partnership with teams across Global Fund Services Operations (GFSO) the Target Operating Model & Data Solutions function is responsible for project managing the identification and delivery of globally consistent and optimal operating models from a process, controls and systems perspective. You will lead workstreams across multiple locations (APAC / EMEA / MBMH / WHEM) in the determination and documentation of target operating models, and you will support the teams throughout implementation planning and go-live.

In addition to project management, the role also affords the opportunity to leverage and/or develop a digital solutions skillset (Alteryx / Tableau / Signavio / UI Path) to support operating model improvement.

The role provides opportunities to lead projects across GFSO and is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong GFSO product knowledge (Fund Accounting and / or Transfer Agency) and advanced problem solving and communication skills:

  • Lead reviews of functional processes across the GFSO organization; reduce overall operational risk and build a more robust end and to end process
  • Develop a digitalisation skillset and a data centric mindset; leverage to identify and execute process improvement
  • Create outstanding visual and verbal stories to help articulate this journey at all levels of the organization
  • Make recommendations on how to address identified gaps as well as implications for team structure, location strategy, functional alignment

Key responsibilities include

  • Building trusted partnerships with Operations, Product and Technology teams to lead, design and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Good stakeholder engagement and management with strong interpersonal and influencing skills; unafraid to challenge process
  • Running a book of work; own and project manage key deliverables, working to tight deadlines and leading multiple projects from initiation to conclusion
  • Implementing a robust data governance and control framework to ensure integrity of solutions
  • Identifying, leveraging and supporting adoption of new data tools as they become available
  • Assessing high risk touchpoints and controls, highlight gaps and identify remediation steps.
  • Leading the documentation of gaps in the current Operating Model and their impact; defining Target Operating Model recommendations
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to succinctly communicate complex issues to audiences at all levels
  • Proactive mind-set, self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are must-haves. Knowledge of AI-enabled digital tools for automation and process improvement a plus

Required Skills and Qualifications

You will have

  • 2 years+ experience in financial services, preferably fund services
  • Good storytelling abilities (inc. through PPT) that you readily adapt to suit a wide range of audiences and narratives
  • The desire to develop data analysis, automation and visualization skills (e.g. using Excel, Alteryx, Tableau, Qlik, UiPath)
  • A commitment to excellence, and an attention to detail, across all you do
  • A passion for your work, that naturally drives others to ‘come on the journey’ with you
