Vice President – Client Onboarding Transformation Workflow Product Owner - London

The Client Onboarding transformation team is responsible for the delivery of the Strategic End State Programs to improve the overall client on-boarding experience, while reducing the time and cost of onboarding. The team employees Strategic design principles to create innovative solutions that incrementally address the identified pain points and deliver the target architecture.

The Team is looking for an Vice President level candidate to lead COLT Workflow Product Delivery, responsible for defining strategy and executing the delivery roadmap. This position requires someone with extensive experience in software delivery, who can take the initiative and function successfully in collaborative environments across varying stakeholder groups. For this role, the ideal candidate must be a self-starter, strong facilitator and critical thinker while remaining curious and empathetic to achieving organizational goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining innovative solutions to solve complex business problems
  • Ownership of the delivery strategy and roadmap for Client On-boarding workflow following a monthly release cycle
  • Lead and mentor Business Analysts and Project Managers to deliver projects using standard Agile project delivery methodologies
  • Working with other Product Owners to define a holistic delivery plan and ensure dependencies are managed across applications
  • Proactively engage and communicate global and local business requirements/priorities and project status to senior stakeholders while solicit feedback
  • Product Owner responsible agreeing and prioritizing stories with technology partners
  • Ensure team clearly document agile epics, user stories maintaining JIRA hygiene
  • Apply change management approaches and methodologies to drive change to operating models, standardization of technologies and streamline operational processes
  • Work with the central Release Management team to deliver projects to release timelines and support technology with production releases
  • Perform detailed data analysis using data modelling techniques
  • Role encompasses business analysis to identify, assess, and articulate near-term business needs, advise businesses on options, risks, and costs of technology solutions versus benefits

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in software delivery role, with experience in the banking/financial services industry advantageous
  • Experience modelling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques including UML and Data modelling.
  • Practical application of agile delivery methodology, including writing User Stories following industry standard techniques
  • The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to Technology and data constraints to the business
  • Experience as a Team Leader and Mentor
  • The ability to engage with senior stakeholders and managing their expectations
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Highly energetic self-starter with a focus on obtaining results
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Deep understanding of JIRA as well as technical skills e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, and quickly adjust to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate across teams to meet deliverables
