The Platform Services (PS) group is responsible for defining, developing, engineering and operating Platform-as-a-Service products consumed by our Application Development Partners across the firm. 

Platform Services is a part of the Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) organization and GTI is responsible for delivering and maintaining an industry-leading technology infrastructure to J.P.Morgan’s Global Technology group.

This role sits within the Strategy and Business Service (SBS) team of Platform Services; reporting into the PS DEI Global council lead.

The role will involvea wide variety of activities and partnershipon all aspects of DEI with the PS Leadership team, PS managers,PS Global DEI council and people across PS; in addition to the wider GTI & GT organizations and external bodies.

The ideal candidate will be from a technology background with experience in the DEI space and will be a highly motivated individual with strong communication and analytical skills, experience of interacting with and presenting to senior management, the ability to develop relationships with all levels across all lines of business and corporate functions, and a desire to learn the Technology operating model. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work in partnership with PS Global DEI council and PS LT to define PS Global DEI strategy andcreate a PS Global DEI roadmap to deliver on the strategy

  • Define and measure PS DEI metrics and PS DEI OKRS and identifykey actions to address any trends in metricsand celebrate DEI successes

  • Lead the design, planning and execution of DEI initiatives and programs, guiding long term growth and development plans in the areas of diversity, equity & inclusion.

  • Arrange cultural and ‘hearts and minds’ events and initiatives to help foster an open and inclusive culture.

  • Provide consultation and coaching to managers and employees on all areas of DEI including training, culture, and organizational effectiveness.

  • Conduct on-going research on best practices, and after analyzing data, recommend strategies for continuous improvement.

  • Act as advisor to and partner with HR on areas related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, to drive the development and implementation of strategies and tactics for diversity recruiting, talent development and retention of a robust pipeline of diverse talent.

  • Partner with leadership team and PS SBS to embed DE&I practices into all talent programs; as an example, leverage the Talent Planning Process to maximize opportunities with high potential talent and provide recommendations to business leaders for succession planning.

  • Develop an overarching strategy for PS to provide recommendations to attract, retain and train diverse, multi-generational talent through targeted university, college, and industry relationships (i.e., HBCUs, SEPs, Year-Up, Re-Entry etc).

  • Develop and manage relationships with external partners/ diversity organizations and increase the number of representatively diverse candidates in the pipeline for technology internships, full-time (Early Career and Experienced Software Engineers), and other Emerging Talent and Reskilling opportunities

  • Collaborate and work within the highly matrixed global DEI space, maintaining internal lines of communication and engagement with key leadership stakeholders, Recruitment teams, hiring managers, functional partners, and others

  • Measure ROI and communicate outcomes to key stakeholders on a regular basis; create executive summaries and provide recommendations for improving metrics

  • Administration and execution of various programs: including but not limited to managing budget, vendor management, scheduling events, activities, and other program processes, prepping and conducting various sessions, creating, and collecting feedback, measuring, and communicating outcomes, etc.
