Position Overview

The Fund Accounting and Administration Product Management team is accountable for the overall success of the Traditional Fund Services business. The Product Manager is a senior leadership role, responsible for the P&L, assessing emerging trends, technologies, electronic platforms, potential partnerships and building capabilities to support the growth of the business. The Product Manager will lead the direction of our strategy for Asset Managers/Owners as we aim to deliver a best-in-class operating model.

As the Product Manager, you will drive innovation and deliver solutions to both business and technical challenges – understanding what it takes to deliver a JP Morgan brand experience to our clients. This role is outcome driven and requires a curious mindset with strong empathy for clients, driven by creating a user experience that also delivers their brand to their investors. You will work with senior leaders across multiple business disciplines to deliver the product, understand the needs of our clients and provide improved value. You will collaborate with operations, technology, product development, business control management, audit, compliance and other internal business functions as well as external vendors to determine how our strategic and tactical innovations can be executed successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the business in region, responsible for the P&L, investment and ROI
  • Own products at all stages, from conception to launch
  • Formulate business strategy, develop an operating model, establish objectives and outcomes, and deliver results.
  • Keep abreast of market developments, regulations, trends, competitive landscape, Industry standards and appropriately evaluate and introduce new data & content products and services to meet client demand
  • Review existing product design and specifications to ensure it aligns and keeps current with industry standard and appropriately introduce enhancements to deliver robust SaaS services
  • Build alignment across stakeholders within the firm and partner to drive the adoption of the services to speed up the digital transformation goals for the clients
  • Collaborate with the firms Technology & Product Development teams, providing clear requirements derived from user research to develop a best-in-class platform offering
  • Drive competitive analysis for all our services, educate the organization and publish the findings to keep up to the market trends and needs
  • Determine a prioritized rollout of capabilities, considering factors such as criticality of the business function, volume and complexity of the function, and complexity of the product.

You should be able to recognise yourself in the following characteristics:

  • Third level education and/or demonstrable commitment to continued professional development
  • Extentive years in the fund services industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Fund Accounting and Administration
  • Thorough understanding of fund types and legal structures and the jurisdictional requirements applicable
  • Have held similar and/or senior roles in Product Management, Product Development, Operations or Technology
  • Market & client facing experience
  • Experience working with product development teams supporting the product
  • Experience working through contract negotiations with both Vendors & Clients
