Our Business

The UK & Hedge Fund team structures, prices and sells equity derivatives to financial institutions – we cover a range of clients on the desk including Hedge Funds and Institutions. Equity Derivatives Sales work closely with their clients and trading desks to find unique solutions to key client requirements, leveraging on J.P. Morgan's superior trading platform. Sales work closely with diverse departments of the bank ranging from Research to Structuring to Trading.

Opportunity

The opportunity is to join the UK & Hedge Fund Sales team in London covering both Hedge Fund and Asset Manager clients located in the UK who trade Equity Derivatives in global markets. The product set is wide ranging, from listed options and delta one through to more structured strategies, covering Flow and Exotics trading. The key responsibility in this role is direct sales coverage of clients including trade execution, account management and marketing of Equity Derivatives products and ideas.

Requirements

  • The role requires an enquiring mind, perseverance and the ability to handle a large amount of information.
  • The ability to understand simple as well as complex equity derivatives products and an ability to price them.
  • The candidate needs to be able to deal confidently with people at all levels in the organization
  • The candidate should be self-motivated, with the drive and skill to seek out new clients and business. To pitch new ideas, communicate clearly and have the confidence in establishing relationships is key.
  • The ability to remain focused when under pressure.

Essential skills

  • Experience in Equity Derivatives is preferable
  • Sales experience

This role encompasses the performance of UK regulated activity. The successful candidate will therefore be subject to meeting UK regulatory requirements in the assessment of fitness, propriety, knowledge and competence (as assessed by the Firm) and (where appropriate) approval by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and/or the Prudential Regulation Authority to carry out such activities.
