Department Description

Cross Product Change Services (CPCS) is a change delivery organisation within the CIB’s Digital & Platform Services (D&PS) that provides integrated change, testing and implementation support to CIB stakeholders. CPCS capabilities include end-to-end test management and automation, business analysis, data analytics and program management, which are tailored to enable strategic initiatives in the Wholesale Payments, Markets and Securities Services businesses, as well as cross-business functions such as Network Management and Client Onboarding (Client Tax & WKO).

Role Description

JPM are seeking an Executive Director to lead program management for Testing and Implementation in Payments & Commerce, for the Cross Product Change Services Team. The successful candidate will act as relationship manager to a portfolio of program / Product group and provide change delivery services i.e. Business Analysis, full phase E2E Testing & Implementation, Automation and Data Analytics.

The successful candidate will partner with Payments & Commerce and domain experts; in a cross-business, cross-functional ‘project’ based environment. The role provides opportunities to work on projects across the business. Additionally, successful candidates will be involved in initiatives focused on accelerating DPS’s platform project priorities. There will be significant exposure & visibility to senior management. This role is ideal for highly motivated professional with advanced problem solving and communications skills.

You would be joining a team focused on change delivery across products, helping accelerate pace of delivery, providing metrics and KPIs to enable data-based conclusions and be responsible for supporting the strategy and execution of the organizational targets of CPCS. The role will require working with stakeholders across the CIB, looking to leverage best practice across the industry and other J.P. Morgan business units. Lateral contacts in business, technology, middle offices, product and client facing organizations firm wide would need to be developed and mined for best practices and for driving outcomes.

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for:

  • Providing services to Payments & Commerce business (Function / Product / Platform) and related services including full phase E2E testing & implementation, automation and data analytics.
  • Define the vision and strategy.
  • Serve as senior program advocate in steering committees and other senior forums.
  • Ensure deliverables are tracked in line with due dates and stakeholder expectations.
  • Identify creative and timely solutions to key program challenges while motivating partner teams to complete critical tasks.
  • Track project progress and report effectively on status, blockers and changes. Accountable for creating, maintaining and communicating schedules, scorecards and plans.
  • Provide program and/or project management services including oversight, governance and communication.
  • Manage resourcing of projects and drive resource balancing between different program priorities.
  • Manage, analyze, track and escalate project risks, issues and dependencies as well as chair regular review meetings.
  • Leverage subject matter expertise in driving conversations and/or influencing decisions/direction with Business, Technology and functional partners.
  • Work collaboratively with team members across lines of business and cross functional teams
  • Create concise high quality reports and visual presentations - organize complex information in a strategic and compelling way, demonstrating strong design acumen and expertise in Excel and PowerPoint technique.
  • Coordinate the collation, review and dissemination of key information – providing updates to multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Prepare metrics and scorecards for relevant monthly, quarterly and annual review.

Functional and Technical Expertise:

  • Proven product/project/program management
  • Significant experience of Product development / delivery, business/corporate development, or strategy leadership experience within the financial services industry
  • Strong product and commercial appreciation for major parts of the CIB, able to hold detailed conversations with technology team members about legacy, existing and new technologies that are being leveraged across the CIB.
  • The candidate would have spent time aligned or supporting specific CIB functions.
  • Able to gain and provide meaningful insight to project working group members on the specific focus areas.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision on key enquires.
  • Working knowledge on data visualization and user tools like Tableau, Alteryx, QlickView, Xceptor, etc.
  • Working knowledge of API, SQL, Metadata and Big data will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of Business Driven Development / Test Driven Development test methodology.
  • Knowledge of test automation tools including UI Path, Smartspec, Cucumber, Gherkin, Robotics or similar.

  • Postgraduate/ MBA (or Bachelor degree with relevant experience) preferred.
  • Ideally has worked in the CIB business functions i.e., Payments, Treasury Services, Securities Services.
  • Extensive product/project/program management experience required.
  • Proven SDLC, Waterfall/Agile experience.
