Asset Management – EMEA Head of Operations – Managing Director – London

Role Description:

The EMEA Head of Asset Management Operations is a significant role within our Asset and Wealth Management Operations team. The role requires manager excellence and the ability to guide and motivate teams. This role also requires a high degree of collaboration with partners and key stakeholders across the firm, including frequent interaction with business heads and regulators across the region.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of operational excellence at scale against an evolving business and regulatory environment. The candidate must have strong control discipline and deep talent management skills.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for co-ordination of the end-to-end operating model for the business in EMEA including cross-function regulatory project deliveries, outsourcing governance and operational resiliency.
  • Head of the Investment Operations department, guiding the teams in region with all attendant responsibilities for hiring, performance management and day to day oversight across multiple functions including Trade Support, Investment Guidelines, Treasury Management, Regulatory Transaction reporting as well as governance over outsourced operations.
  • Holds SMF24 designation as FCA registered Senior Manager responsible for the operational infrastructure of the Asset Management business, shared with regional Head of Technology.
  • Sets operational strategy for the region, responsible for delivery against plan and budget.
  • Ensures a pristine control environment, with successful internal and external audit and compliance testing outcomes as well as ongoing interaction with external Regulators.
  • Senior escalation point in region for all operational matters, from Investment Business Heads, CEO and other functional principals.
  • Member of key regional governance forums such as Business, Risk and Control committees, fostering close working relationships with all other functional teams and control functions.
  • Global responsibility for end-to-end operational services to the Equity, Solutions and Beta/ETF business lines ensuring that all regions deliver a consistent service model.
  • Global responsibility for Fee Billing of all Institutional accounts including management and performance fees.
  • Global responsibility for oversight of strategic Investment Operations outsourcing initiative across all regions.


  • Have a relevant degree or appropriate industry experience
