Intelligence Requirements and Risk Integration Manager

Part of JPMC Cybersecurity Operations, the Cybersecurity Intelligence Group (CIG) holds the global mandate to collect, analyse, and disseminate timely and relevant threat intelligence to JPMorgan Chase (JPMC) decision makers. CIG is central to JPMC’s intelligence-driven defense against sophisticated cyber intrusions, and an integral part of its global incident response capability.

As an Intelligence Requirements and Risk Integration Manager, you will be at the nexus of threat and risk. Drawing heavily on your extensive knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks and risk management processes, you will form robust partnerships with business information security officers (BISOs) and information security managers (ISMs) in each JPMC Line of Business (LOB). You will leverage these partnerships to gain a detailed understanding of their risk management priorities and information needs. Your experience of managing and applying the intelligence cycle in operational environments, ideally with a UK government agency, will be essential for transposing this insight into CIG’s priority intelligence requirements (PIRs) and ensuring they are aligned to business needs. As a recognized expert in managing complex intelligence operations, you will be looked upon to work with CIG operational leads to coach and mentor CIG analysts, ensuring their research remains aligned to PIRs and ultimately satisfies the information requirements of JPMC Lines of Business.

Your deep subject matter expertise across both domains, threat and risk, will be particularly important in the definition and implementation of a threat intelligence, risk, and intelligence requirements integration framework. This will be crucial to ensuring that firmwide risk reduction strategies are demonstrably informed by timely, relevant, and actionable threat intelligence.

The work we do is varied, and so too are the skills required. A collaborative, team-first mindset is crucial; CIG is a close-knit team that works with international partners from across Cybersecurity Operations, JPMC lines of business (LOBs), and multiple external organisations. You will have a high level of emotional intelligence, and able to manage the competing interests of multiple senior stakeholders with diplomacy and tact. Your in-depth knowledge of the intelligence cycle and intelligence analysis will ideally be grounded with operational experience from within the U.K. intelligence community. Moreover, this intelligence expertise will be augmented by extensive knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks and risk management processes.

The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Refine, develop, and execute the strategy for integrating threat intelligence with enterprise risk management frameworks.
  • Identify and document CIG intelligence customers globally.
  • Define, document, and manage JPMC Line of Business and senior executive information requirements.
  • Ensure CIG Priority Intelligence Requirements are aligned to firmwide business processes and the product roadmap.
  • Ensure that CIG analysis is aligned to Priority Intelligence Requirements.
  • Support cross-industry intelligence collaboration bodies (such as FSIE/FSCCC/FS-ISAC) as required.

This role requires the following qualifications and capabilities:

  • Experience in and knowledge of intelligence doctrine and analytic techniques, preferably as a result of operational experience with a U.K. government agency or the MOD.
  • Experience in and knowledge of enterprise risk frameworks and risk management processes, preferably within a financial institution or other highly regulated environment.
  • Experience of working with senior executives up to and including global CISO-level.
  • Experience of providing matrix leadership across disparate technology and business teams.
