The Team

The Deal Services team in the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) partners closely with external and internal stakeholders, including clients and client legal counsels, bankers and deal team leads, credit, legal, compliance and business management to provide ecient and timely support with the execution of live deals. As a member of the team, your goal will be to assist Corporate Banking product and coverage teams by providing consistent, high quality deal support and client service.

Role Description

Act as the primary operations relationship management partner for Corporate Banking Product and Coverage teams:

  • Providing operational support during the execution of investment and corporate banking transactions across Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Lending
  • Quarterbacking key milestones in the deal lifecycle: creating deal folders, managing the conflicts submission process, sanctions screening, conducting Counterparty Due Diligence, Environmental and Social Risk Assessment, and client due diligence/Know Your Client processes etc..
  • Partnering with the Wholesale KYC Operations (WKO) Client Office, Bankers and Compliance teams to assess documentation requirements for new client legal entity on-boarding and new business implementation
  • Assisting in audit / regulatory reviews, controls issue resolution and reporting
  • Assist in the execution of strategic projects and process improvements
  • Deploy solutions to improve client experience – e.g., use of data & analytics to evaluate and quantify Client Experience
  • Navigate the firm on behalf of clients and bankers; coordinate with different business groups and facilitate discussions
  • Monitor deal controls to ensure milestones are met and achieved in a timely manner, with breaks and remediate/action accordingly
  • Participate in meetings with Bankers to proactively manage deal pipelines, identify opportunities and potential roadblocks that need to be addressed
  • Provide oversight of and transparency into operational processes and progress

Skills & Experience:

  • Advanced work experience preferred with a background in sales/client service and project management a plus
  • Previous experience and sound knowledge of investment banking products (Acquisition and Leveraged Finance, Debt Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Equity Capital Markets) as well as Corporate Banking products & processes
  • Comfortable dealing with clients/senior executives on a regular basis
  • Highly self-motivated to work independently and on broad based teams that cross Lines of Business
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong decision making capabilities and the ability to identify problems and drive to resolution
  • Ability and drive to take full ownership of processes
  • Strong partnership and coordination skills
  • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Proactive/self-starter with the ability to deliver value-added support to business partners and clients in a dependable, timely and accurate manner

  • Language requirements: German, Russian or Nordic languages would be beneficial
