The Treasury/ Chief Investment Office Finance Audit Director will be responsible for a portfolio of auditable universe items and audits from planning to reporting, and product quality deliverables in line with department, regulatory and professional standards. Finalize and communicate audit reports results to senior stakeholders, Control Forums, Executive Committees and Regulators. Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, establishing a culture of engagement whilst adding value. Implement and execute an effective program of continuous monitoring for assigned areas, including monitoring of key metrics to identify control issues and adverse trends. Manage and lead the Audit team by assigning goals and objectives, performing timely review, providing feedback, managing performance, reviewing promotion and compensation levels, approving expenses and access to critical applications. Stay up-to-date with evolving industry and regulatory changes impacting the business, influence and promote key initiatives and projects within the firm. Lead, manage and approve risk assessments, executive audit reports, and issue validations. Responsible for the definition of the annual audit plan, resource schedule and budgeting for the assigned areas.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study (CPA Preferred).
  • Solid internal / external audit, or relevant business line experience.
  • Experience managing/ leading teams.
  • The ability to interact with senior leadership demonstrating strategic and thought leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; strong presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and recommend solutions through clear and concise messaging.
  • Ability to influence and lead people across the Audit function, using sound judgment and understanding how to operate effectively across teams.
  • Strong team player, able to multi-task and be effective under pressure in a dynamic business environment, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
  • Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, including the ability to quickly digest complex information.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and other Office applications.
