Job Summary

The Markets UI team is searching for highly motivated front-end Software Engineers to join our expanding team. In this role you will be responsible for building and supporting client facing functionality across our Internal and External platforms. Working with teams across the Markets business to deliver market leading Sales, Trading and Digital Markets Client applications.

Job responsibilities

  • Works with product and UX teams to refine designs for modern client user experiences
  • Partners with platform and business technology teams to deliver robust, scalable applications for our Trading and Digital Markets businesses
  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working with Typescript & React to build complex web applications
  • Understanding of software engineering concepts and formal applied experience of OO and functional programming paradigms
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Demonstrated understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with modern front-end web technologies
  • Experience with Python
  • Exposure to working with UX and Visual Design teams
