Art Manager | Candy Crush Saga

Want to join our Kingdom? We are looking for an experienced and confident Art Manager for the Candy Crush Saga studio.

Your role within our Kingdom

At King, we know that investing in our talent is key to our continuous success. The Art organization at Candy Crush Saga is a mixed talent pool of UI designers, Game Artists, VFX Artists and Technical Artists.

Your main responsibility is to support individuals to perform at their very best. As Art Manager you will drive and facilitate the performance management for our talents. You have high emotional intelligence, are passionate about growing people and you learn from failure. You practice coaching and you enable opportunities for competence development to build a strong craft and team culture that lives up to our King values.

You will be involved in developing the Art organization and engage with other creative crafts to support several strategic projects where you collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Cross-industry experience is welcomed — a creative background is preferable but not vital.

You put your heart into everything you do and share a desire to build an extraordinary team culture with talented people. You are a self-starter and take initiative without waiting for tasks to be assigned. Since the team is international you need to be proficient in English.


  • Full-time manager for 8-15 people within the art org

  • Recruitment & staffing

  • Part of Candy management group

  • Support product leadership in topics related to the talent in your team

  • Responsible to engage with other crafts ie. UX/game design in facilitating the creation of briefs for the artists/UI designers, so they are robust and understood

  • Work together with Craft Directors and HR to make Candy a great place to work

  • Coach and support the talents to achieve excellence, stay happy and high performing

  • Champion documentation to secure your work for the future

  • Staff administration eg. approve expenses, vacation days, sick leave, hardware/software requests etc.

  • Drive and/or support initiatives that improve processes or the work environment for our disciplines

  • Keep up to date with the industry and seek collaboration with managers across the studio/company do further develop

Skills to create thrills

  • You have demonstrated strong leadership ability with significant people management in the tech industry.

  • Proven ability to inspire, coach, train and develop team members to provide consistently outstanding performance and culture

  • Ability to collaborate with the leadership team to develop strategic plans across multiple business groups, improving process and surpassing standards to drive the business forward

  • Experience adapting to challenges, providing support and guiding communications in a constantly changing agile environment

  • Good understanding of game development, assets creation and deliverables

Tasty Bonus Skills

  • You have creative experience from UI design, game art, VFX art or tech art

  • You play games and have a passion for developing games
