Your role within our Kingdom

You will directly manage & coach Leads within the Art org, upskilling their leadership capabilities and guiding them to support the team effectively.
Our experienced and industry leading Art team comprises Game Artists, Animators, VFX Artists & VisDev Artists. You will support and coach your direct & indirect reports to perform at their very best. You will drive the performance & capabilities of our Artists, supporting them in developing effective and creative ways of working. You will have high emotional intelligence, a passion for developing people and know how to handle challenging situations and conversations.
You put your heart into everything you do and share a desire to build an extraordinary team culture with talented people. You are a self-starter and take initiative without waiting for tasks to be assigned.
Full-time people manager to directly manage, design & oversee line management within the art org
Manage, design & advocate the following core people processes for the art team, taking ownership of results:
Coaching and supporting them to achieve excellence, stay happy and high performing
Mid-year, end-of-year reviews and calibration across the team
Creating and following up on action & development plans for each employee
Support the team’s career progression and nominate for promotions
Work together with Craft Directors, Senior People Managers, HR & others in the Soda team to make King a wonderful place to work
Support Soda product leadership in the resourcing process and matters related to talent in the Art team
Drive tactical and strategic initiatives that improve processes or the work environment for Artists
Skills to create thrills
Demonstrated line management experience; setting objectives, conducting annual performance reviews, and supporting & coaching teams
A passion for supporting people in achieving their goals & experience in leading teams to success
Excellent communication, coaching and feedback skills
Experience in performance management, negotiation, mediation, and conflict resolution in a complex team environment
An understanding of creative development, asset creation and deliverables, or experience in a similar environment
Since the team is international, you need to be fluent in English with excellent communication skills that translate into our hybrid first approach
