Working in an agile environment, you will be bringing energy to our strategies on key change for the business. This is a dynamic and fast-moving place to work, and with so many moving parts, you will need to be engaging, persuasive and the glue that holds different teams together.
You’ll be part of a highly-motivated team helping to ensure the business delivers its key strategic business goals, working with stakeholders to ensure we achieve the LV= vision to be the Best Loved.
The role will be responsible for both the business and technical change aspects of project delivery. The role can work from the Croydon or Bournemouth offices with the opportunity to work from home 2/3 days a week. We adopt a flexible working environment with a focus on learning & development.
You’re a Project Manager who is looking to make a difference and exact real change. You’ll want a role where you can work collaboratively, but with some autonomy too – supported by others in your team but trusted to do your job well and be given the flexibility to manage your time to get the job done.
With a number of years project management experience, you will be building your track record of taking strategic vision through to realisation. You’re naturally curious and will have a real drive and enthusiasm to deliver and make a difference.
Your ability to communicate and collaborate with others will be one of the most important skill sets you have for this position: understanding and translating for colleagues with very different specialisms associated within their fields; from stakeholders with operational and strategic sway, to the more technical IT and Development teams.
Any previous agile experience would be a benefit but is not essential – an open, collaborative mind-set is what we need from you. Experience in the Financial Services / Insurance sector would also be an advantage. , and specifically in managing data projects, such as the development of a data platform and prem to cloud integrations, would be an advantage, with an appreciation of all the steps required such as testing, security and architecture.
If you are familiar with managing cloud projects, with Microsoft Azure that would be beneficial. You’re likely to have an understanding and genuine interest in current technology trends in data, and you’ll be used to working with large-scale third-party technology suppliers such as Microsoft.
Being a Project Manager role, driving change at pace and agility are all key attributes we are looking for, coupled with ability to build strong credible relationships. So, it’s no surprise that stakeholder management and 3rd party management are key strengths you’ll possess in abundance.
It goes without saying that your communication and team working skills will be exemplary, and you’ll have a proactive approach to your work. Your commercial awareness will be razor-sharp and you’ll be well-versed in business planning and change management. You’re a dynamic and motivated self-starter and have the insight and ability to look at complicated problems and create practical solutions.
