We have a great opportunity to join our LV=Broker Risk and Regulatory team, part of the Allianz Personal business, where you will report to the LV= Broker Risk & Regulatory Manager and work with the business to identify, evaluate and document key risks and controls within the LV=Broker business. You will work from Croydon with the opportunity to work from home 2 or 3 days per week. We adopt a flexible working environment with a focus on learning and development.

You will work with key stakeholders to assess the impact of these risks, identify and implement controls to mitigate the risk and of course, monitor and analyse the effectiveness and output of these controls. You will develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and a deep understanding of the risks and controls that apply to each business unit. You will be supporting the LV= Broker business in meeting the Enterprise Risk Management Framework requirements, including Risk and Control self-assessments (RCSA’s), deep dives and production of reports for the relevant Risk Management committees and stakeholders. You'll also work with the LV=Broker Risk & Regulatory Manager in identifying new risks by keeping up-to-date with legal, regulatory and technological issues and trends, along with relevant GI and LV=Broker projects and you'll work with AZP Risk to develop risk strategies and operating plans, to ensure that the LV=Broker division meets its governance responsibilities in respect of risk.

You will promote the importance of risk awareness and requirements through communication and training within all LV=Broker departments.

About you

For the role you will have experience within a risk, audit, compliance or regulatory role and have an understanding of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Knowledge of General Insurance (Personal Lines) and experience gained within risk management would be a fantastic advantage.

You will need to be organised, methodical and proactive with a keen eye for attention to detail. You will have strong analytical skills and be inquisitive and confident. You're able to communicate to stakeholders across all levels, clearly and accurately, present MI data and highlight essential issues to senior managers with conviction. You're someone who is professional, keen to develop their risk and regulatory knowledge, self-motivated and has an inherent drive, passion and motivation to be part of a successful team and organisation.

Details

  • Develop and implement effective LV= Broker Risk management frameworks aligned to & ensuring adherence to Allianz relevant policies & standards.

  • Develop & manage effective oversight & assurance over key risk controls and minimum standards, ensuring control environments are operating effectively.

  • Develop risk management information, including measures, key risk & performance indicators and reporting for Insurance Premium risks, aligning to Allianz dashboards & requirements. Regularly review and enhance the output to allow senior management to make informed and effective decisions.

  • Identify, assess & escalate potential emerging risks against risk appetite, informing quarterly Risk assessments. Develop & monitor corrective action strategies.

  • Support the business functions in identifying and managing risks.

  • Coach and develop key stakeholders & business teams, through effective support, training, challenge and oversight.

  • Contribute to decision making across the broader risk community; providing value add to executive and senior management risk decision making.

  • Building strong and enduring relationships with other parts of Allianz, including but not limited to other Allianz Personal business unit risk & compliance managers and LV= Broker Senior Leaders, GI Executive, the CRO and Group Risk stakeholders.

  • Manage, investigate and report on LV=Broker risk events, ensuring investigation to identify root cause, risk prevention controls are implemented and the risk register is updated.

  • Work closely with AZP Risk to develop and implement risk strategies and operating plans, to ensure that the LV=Broker division fully meets its governance responsibilities in respect of risk.

  • Lead, manage and motivate the risk team (LV=Broker Risk Analysts) to successfully deliver its strategies and achieve its business objectives.
