Job Description SummaryCan you think strategically and ‘join the dots’ across a complex landscape to see the bigger picture? Do you enjoy working at pace and identifying new and improved ways of doing things? Are you passionate about collaboratively shaping how technology and transformation will support the future successes of Lloyds Banking Group? If so, we’d love to hear from you!
The Group has committed to continuing to evolve to meet the changing needs of our customers. As we start this new chapter there are going to be some changes to how we need to work – over the course of this year, ‘platform teams’ will be created to bring together business and technology capability, with shared objectives, to deliver technology “run” and “change” in support of business unit or Groupwide strategies. This is about making it easier for people to work even more closely together across our organisation, sharing collective ownership for business and technology outcomes and building on our solid foundations, to drive greater pace and effectiveness in the way we do change so that we can create capacity for more innovation. These multiskilled teams will be brought together under joint business and technology leadership, with greater autonomy to deliver technology change.
About the team
We're a small, wide-reaching strategy team supporting Group COO (the Group’s technology and change function). The team provides innovative and independent thought leadership across a range of strategic projects and has responsibility for defining future operating model design. As the Platform operating model is stood up, the team will be playing a pivotal role in ongoing design, shaping and maturity.
About the role
We're looking for someone to join as a Senior Strategy Manager to shape new, innovative thinking around the way we operate across the Group, with specific focus on effective operating model design for technology, change and transformation. You’ll work collaboratively to develop solutions for a range of business and design problems, drawing insight from both internal and external sources.
The role will require establishing relationships across the business to help shape operating model choices. There will be outstanding opportunities to define the future target-state of the Group. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders at all levels across the organisation and have significant visibility with the senior leadership team. This role will have the opportunity to help those in your team to personally develop in their career through coaching and mentoring, making this an ideal role for someone looking for a “player-coach” opportunity.
What background experience and skills we're looking for:
Diversity of thought is important to how the team operates, and we would therefore be interested in applications from a range of backgrounds. To succeed in this role, candidates should be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:
This is an excellent opportunity if you…
As well as providing an opportunity to gain an extensive knowledge of how the Group operates, the role will provide an ideal platform for progression within the Group given the profile of the team and the exposure to senior executives. You'll be working in an exciting area of the Group, so you’ll be surrounded by hardworking and dynamic people who will help you develop.
Apply today! Together we make it possible.
