Job Description Summary

The successful candidate for this role will work on various aspects of transactions involving the distribution and active portfolio management of Commercial Banking assets, from detailed portfolio analysis through to external market sales, structured transactions and intra group asset transfers. You will be exposed to the full end-to-end process, including: identifying, analysing, planning, prioritising, reporting and assisting/ leading in the execution of the transaction.

Job Description

The Client Products Distribution team coordinates and carries out the sale of secondary assets on behalf of Commercial Banking. The team co-ordinates Commercial Banking’s Securitisations, single asset sales (both core and non-core), portfolio sales, the sale of assets to the insurance division and develops demand led origination initiatives, assisting in LBG’s growth strategies, Balance Sheet targets and wider portfolio management initiatives.

Do you have strong securitisation and portfolio transaction experience?

In this role, you'll work with experienced specialists on all aspects of these transactions (identifying assets, analysing, planning, prioritising, reporting and executing the transactions) alongside a multitude of specialist areas, working closely with a number of teams in Commercial Banking, including coverage, structuring, product design and analytics, and key Group functions such as Group Corporate Treasury.

  • Support the evaluation and prioritisation of large and sophisticated transactions from the aspects of accounting, regulatory capital, economic capital, financial, taxation and similar
  • Work closely with Finance, Sales, Markets, Legal, Regulatory Capital, Group Corporate Treasury,, Compliance and other partners in the initiation, analysis and execution of transactions designed to achieve our priorities in relation to Commercial Banking portfolios
  • Ensure transaction processes and execution are conducted in accordance with the relevant Group policies, processes and procedures and external regulation
  • Evaluate opportunities to modify, restructure or otherwise amend existing transactions to improve the financial outcomes for LBG from such transactions
  • Effective collaboration with external investors, legal counsel and financial advisors

    Key Skills and Experience We're Seeking:

  • Extensive influencing and partner management skills across colleagues of varied seniority and specialisms.
  • Pro-active and self-starter; strong management to prioritise multiple outputs and results in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ability to learn and embrace numerous technical concepts e.g. LBG’s securitisation framework
  • A demonstrable ability to excel under pressure in a deal environment
  • Intellectually curious and able to challenge the status quo as well as ability to join the dots
  • Quantitatively numerate; proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
  • A detailed understanding of Risk-Weighted Assets will be looked upon favourably.
  • Understanding of legal documentation and associated transferability and information sharing provisions is also desirable.
