Job Description Summary

Engage with key partners across the Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) business to support them deliver their End-to-End Strategy, finding potential risks and working together to drive solutions.
Risk & Control: Be a strong advocate for a good risk culture, apply expert knowledge and provide guidance on risk and control to drive the right risk culture. You will also support the business to embed Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) by adding value through your oversight.
Real Time Oversight: Responsible for leading complex risk reviews and provide real time advice and challenge to the business. You will provide an independent opinion on the businesses' management of risk, challenging areas of mitigation or control weakness, and finding and coordinating assurance activities based on the current and future risk profile of our business.
Data Led Mindset: Using data led insight and analytics to build a deeper understanding and improve the business control environment and reduce material operational losses and improve customer outcomes.
Development: Build and maintain a network of stakeholders to share best practice relating to legal, regulatory, and professional compliance.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk team at Lloyds Banking Group. We are looking for a Senior Manager to come and join our Commercial Banking and Finance team.


The Commercial Banking (CB), Group Corporate Treasury (GCT) and Finance CCOR team look to enhance control and enable sustainable growth for Lloyds Banking Group, through the delivery of proactive support and constructive challenge to the Commercial Banking, GCT and Finance business.


No day in Conduct, Compliance and Operational Risk is the same. We engage right across the Group, advising on ways to improve how we keep the bank safe, delight our customers and Help Britain Prosper. This means we work closely as a collaborative team and spend a lot of our time looking at different areas of the Bank and analysing data to help our teams and businesses.

  • Experience of collaborating with senior leaders in the organisation, either from an operational or advisory perspective, including regulatory and relevant risk management frameworks.
  • Experience of delivering oversight / activities to manage the effectiveness of risk and controls and provide strategic insight.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels.
  • Have an exceptional knowledge of Commercial / Wholesale Banking, ideally with digital experience.
  • Proven ability to improve and/or automate controls, and/or automated control/data led monitoring.
  • Analytically minded – able to draw learnings from incidents and near misses
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Be confident operating within a matrixed responsibilities model: successfully influencing and working collaboratively within a complex matrix of stakeholders
