As a Go to Market (GTM) Manager, you’ll gain a 360 degree view of our customers and our partners – through the lens of our product categories and solutions. You’ll join a team of strong collaborators, focused on the end goals of customer value and success as a consequence of the portfolio of products they use.

Job Purpose

As a Go to Market (GTM) Manager, you’ll ensure the successful landing of our category products – Customer engagement, Finance & Operations and Power Platform – into our Public Sector business in the UK.

To do this, you’ll need strong collaboration skills with a wide team of people, from market intelligence teams, sellers, technical specialists, our partner channel and their engagement teams, customer success specialists, marketing – and of course customers and partners.

Whilst an individual contributor, you’ll be expected to lead others and to create clarity in a complex organisational environment. You’ll need to generate energy and focus, with strong prioritisation and agility to ensure that deadlines are met, deliverables available on message and results achieved against a predetermined scorecard. You’ll take our corporate strategy and ensure it lands in the right way for our local business, defining and landing successful outcomes needed to ensure we achieve our internal and external goals and success measures: customer success, new business and revenue.

Whilst you’ll already have strong business acumen, you’ll learn and extend your leadership skills, gain an understanding of the levers in place to help drive our business – and demonstrate clearly the insights into our business that are critical to learn and succeed.

Business Performance:

  • Consolidate and build an annual plan for the business based on corporate priorities and goals, ensuring this reflects local Category Excellence, Segment (customer) relevance, Partner capacity and capability – and ultimate Customer Success
  • Drive marketing execution through creative ideas, working closely with our central marketing team to execute digital and physical campaigns
  • You’ll create a clear, agreed and well understood rhythm for our business, leveraging the resources available through sales excellence and operations that’s aligned with local and corporate priorities

Market, customer, competitive insights

  • You’ll work with market intelligence colleagues to ensure the right insights are available to support in identifying opportunities and defining strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, and renewal of a product and/or solution
  • You’ll synthesise direct and indirect customer feedback, validation, and experience and use this to adjust plans

Go To Market

  • You’ll build and own the go-to-market plan for Public sector, identifying and determining marketing strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, customer advocacy, and renewal of a product and/or a solution
  • You’ll lead and mentor others to identify impact metrics, target customers, define and execute the strategy for the end-to-end customer journey, and create user stories and scenarios to convey value
  • You’ll define success criteria and key performance metrics, landing the plan for regular review in partnership with Product Management, Sales, and Business Development
  • You’ll work with the Category GTM Managers to ensure the right value propositions and positioning is in place for the Public Sector business, ensuring key selling points, reasons to buy, customer-facing message and partner propositions are in place to support the needs of the business
  • You’ll lead the engagement plan to interact with customers and partners via various channels including one-to-many environments and/or present at larger industry and partner events

Sales enablement

  • Together with the Enterprise Commercial GTM Manager and Programmes GTM Manager, you’ll define and refine the resources and programmes needed to ensure sellers are fully versed in the Business Applications story for Public Sector
  • You’ll identify, create and land new skills development and other resources to support the needs of our sales community in building and landing new business
  • You’ll maximise the use and consumption of both corporately and locally created resources that support new pipeline generation, sales pipe acceleration, deal closure and post sales deployment

Trusted advisor

  • You’ll develop strong partnerships and become a trusted advisor across the business you manage (e.g., with Corporate product teams, engineering, Marketing, Partner, Customer success, Services, Sales) to lead and deliver differentiated customer value and company growth.
  • You’ll share demonstrated best practices to relevant stakeholders to improve product marketing and business performance


Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated marketing strategy, business planning or related work experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field
    • Ideally experience as a Product Marketing Manager OR equivalent relevant experience within a marketing function
  • Experience managing projects and attaining sales and profitability targets within a complex (e.g., multinational or matrixed) organization
    • OR equivalent experience
