Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of people and ensure their career success based on Model, Coach and Care framework, enable and leverage their skills in achieving stated objectives. Hire, retain and grow talent on the team that will be diverse and inclusive


  • Coach and enable your team to accelerate Azure analytics projects to production and drive platform expansion, including guidance on architectural design, technical recommendations, hands on development of POCs and MVPs, blocker escalations and technical resource orchestration


  • Ensure your team architects and delivers high quality analytics solutions that are resilient and successful and creates re-usable IP / best practices that can be shared and replicated across regions


  • Serve as the technical lead and interface between Azure field teams and Azure Engineering to provide technical feedback and influence product roadmaps
  • Understand market demand and customers’ analytical needs, including common workloads, use patterns and business priorities
  • Understand current technical capabilities of the Azure Data & AI platform and competing products and platforms
  • Lead development of the world-wide technical strategy for specific Data & AI workloads in close collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and enhancement based on field and internal stakeholder feedback and incorporate them into the strategy
  • Help define and drive end-to-end programs for execution of the technical strategy
  • Drive operational excellence, including timely consumption opportunity management and high-quality reporting and insights

Qualifications

Professional Expertise


  • Ability to run complex program management at a global scale, including cross-project planning and resource orchestration, as well as the ability to consistently identify and drive program enhancements
  • Strong track record in technical sales, engineering or consultative delivery services, with notable expertise in the analytics space (required)


  • Demonstrable Change expertise, driving change management or technical adoption (required)


  • Collaboration. Proven ability to generate trust, build alliances, and orchestrate interdisciplinary teams to the benefit of customers


  • Communication. Strategic thinking. Thought-leader with executive presence, including the ability to hold CxO and BDM level discussions, exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to quickly adapt in rapidly evolving business situations
  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts, and ensuring follow-through with exceptional verbal and written communication
  • Prior work experience in other software and/or services companies

Technical knowledge and experience


  • Experience working with large Enterprise customers and field communities in consulting or similar roles, leading deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and support of highly distributed applications OR: Experience in building products and services as part of Engineering teams in engineering positions
  • Strong understanding of the Azure analytics platform with deep domain and hands-on expertise in one or more areas, such as Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Microsoft Purview, Azure Data Factory, etc or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of Azure and/or competitive cloud technologies
  • Demonstrated Technical leadership through prior technical coaching/leadership roles
  • Ability to act on Customer Escalation and needs, Unblock the customer through orchestration of right resources at the right time

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience and/or certifications
