Responsibilities

The Microsoft Media & Entertainment Industry & Partner Sales (M&E IPS) team leads the industry to build solutions & services that enable our M&E customers to transform, innovate and delight their customers. We work with customers and partners (ISVs, SIs) in Entertainment industries to not only help them be successful on Azure, but also develop industry specific products and services that enable their digital transformation.

Candidates must have a strong desire to seek out, then drive customer & partner growth based on the industry’s unmet needs, by striving forincubating and driving industry solutions to market, fail fast when required, and leverage early wins to drive sustained market share growth by educating the market, Microsoft sellers, and partners on our industry solutions. Our solution managers each maintain an entrepreneurial mindset while creating customer-for-life relationships by maintaining close customer engagements and working backwards from their business needs to nurture and inform our industry solution. Our team’s charter is to incubate and then nurture new media solutions from a concept to reality, often by working close with lighthouse customers, then taking the solution to the general market. Operating within that mindset, the M&E IPS Teamis in search for a Solution Manager with experience in advertisement & analytics workloads whowants tojoin a laser focused execution teamto collaborate with, transform and grow our M&E strategy.

Candidates must be familiar with the product management lifecycle from concept to scaled deployments, have experience owning and executing complex programs, able to influence both internally and externally, and collaborate across multiple organization that are outside of your direct influence. One must exhibit proficiency and efficacy in core product management disciplines such as defining user stories, priorities, success metrics, presenting vision that works backwards from customers, and are comfortable driving clarity across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment. A successful candidate will combine an ability to think big with keen attention to detail. We are looking for a passionate, data-driven decision maker who likes building from scratch, experimenting, setting high standards, and working in collaboration with Lighthouse customers & partners to prove out our solutions. You have a high degree of ownership, and are an excellent communicator, who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

Required

  • Technical and business understanding of cloud technologies related to Media & Entertainment use cases.
  • Understanding in designing and deploying Media & Entertainment integrated workloads, with subject matter expertise in successfully deploying cloud platform technologies.
  • A BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant experience in Solutions, Program or Product Management.

Preferred

  • Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion of large-scale operational or technical projects.
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data to manage metrics, drive feature prioritization, and implement business cases.
  • Ability to seamlessly work across functional and organizational boundaries and has a reputation for influencing others and earning trust across levels and organizations.
  • Proven ability to be a trusted advisor, to establish and influence relationships from GM level and above.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, ability to adapt to your audience internally & externally.
  • Sales and client facing, with a proven track record of driving wins within a field organization in collaboration with their customers.
  • Problem solving creativity, but with a constant eye on data driven and detail-oriented approach to problem solving.
