The Group Internal Engagement and ​Communication (IEC) team aims to encourage engagement with Mott MacDonald's purpose, culture and values. We want to maximise the effectiveness of our colleagues and we use our IEC strategy to help them access the information, tools, news and stories they need in their role.

The successful candidate will report to a senior IEC manager, supporting them to deliver communications plans and strategies on important priorities including wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, and health and safety.

Other duties include supporting the smooth running of our bi-annual employee engagement survey, helping to organise and run Group photography shoots across the UK and working with the wider IEC team to help deliver our strategy.

The successful candidate will work right across Group IEC. You'll work closely with project colleagues around the world to engage and inspire our global workforce as we implement exciting programmes. You'll understand the purpose of the programmes, explore how changes will be received by colleagues across the company, and influence how we engage the business.

As part of the IEC team, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in other projects too - a great way to expand your experience and knowledge of the internal communications profession. We're a friendly, creative team that collaborates and shares ideas and perspectives. We encourage and challenge each other to push the boundaries of what's possible for internal communication and the campaigns we're involved in. Join us and you'll have the chance to roll your sleeves up, make your mark and grow your skillset.

We're looking for someone who understands the big picture as well as day-to-day tactical plans. You'll build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business and help create engagement strategies, listen to our global audience, advise the project team on the most effective ways to communicate, and assist in the development and delivery of multi-channel campaigns. You'll be a natural storyteller and able to excite our people - verbally and in writing - about what's coming.

You'll join us with experience of engagement campaigns, identifying key messages, and translating complex information into creative stories. You'll know how to create a stakeholder map and be comfortable building a network of contacts around the world to listen and give people a voice. If you're proactive, creative, and keen to get involved in culture change, this could be the role for you.

This is a permanent position based in our London office and reports into one of our senior internal engagement and communication managers.
