Owning to the expansion of our defence and energy business, we have exciting opportunities for risk professionals to join our fast-growing team in the UK. This is a unique opportunity to be involved in some of the most complex and challenging projects in the UK today. Within the Mott MacDonald family we are looking to attract the finest talent to be part of this journey as we mobilise for a number of key opportunities across a broad portfolio of both defence and energy programmes.
What you will contribute to the team;
Undertake assurance reviews of risk deliverables and methodologies to confirm conformance to best practice;
Experience informing the development of Business Cases, Investment Decisions and Appraisals, including assuring the quality of risk evidence;
Comfortable working as a consultant within a client environment, including embedding expertise into their teams;
Coach, develop and supervise project staff and sharing knowledge and expertise;
Ability to build strong relationships with clients, teams and stakeholders; and
Strong stakeholder management experience.
Potential travel required in advert either 2/3 days a month or once a week depending on project
Candidate Specification :
Required for the position of Risk Management Consultant;
Proven track record in risk management, in defence (preferred) and/or other sectors;
Ability to operate both autonomously and as part of a larger team;
Flexibility to travel and work in different sectors and clients;
Must have existing security clearance (SC or higher) and hold a UK passport.
Desired Qualifications and Accreditations
Educated to degree level in a relevant technical or mathematical discipline or hold a Risk Management qualification
Professional Membership with an applicable professional organisation
Full UK Driving Licence
Preferred, but not required
Good research and analytical skills;
Excellent oral and written communication and organisation skills;
Essential Soft skills include, effective listening, persuasion, collaborative style, leadership, flexibility, self-motivation, creativity and insightfulness;
Computer literacy in Microsoft applications;

The Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit delivers management services in all the sectors that Mott MacDonald operate in the Built Environment, Defence, Energy, Water, Transportation and, Education, Health and Care.
The Unit delivers services to projects ranging in scale and complexity up to £20bn, through the technical disciplines of Programme Management, Project Management, Project Controls, Scheduling, Cost Management, Estimating, Infrastructure Finance, Management Consulting, Digital Consulting and Education, Health and Care Management.
