Hydraulic Wastewater Modeller

We have an exciting opportunity for a developing Wastewater Network Modeller to join our national team. You will be a driven individual with a keen interest in wastewater modelling, solution engineering and catchment planning. You should be familiar with InfoWorks ICM, as well as GIS packages. The ideal candidate would be a graduate or early career professional progressing towards chartership or newly chartered, and keen to progress their career and evolve within Mott MacDonald as a Hydraulic Modeller, you would be responsible for providing key technical inputs on a range of wastewater infrastructure projects. Typical duties would include:

  • Modelling and the subsequent development of solutions for developments, flood alleviation, environmental studies and Unsatisfactory Intermittent Discharge (UID)/Combined Sewer Overflows (CSO) project.
  • Model build and verification
  • Specification of surveys
  • Report writing and preparation of presentation materials
  • Working in close partnership with clients, representing the company in technical meetings

What we are looking for in a a candidate:

Relevant degree qualified or vocational qualification.
Familiar in use of InfoWorks ICM, as well as GIS packages (ideally MapInfo).
Experience in spreadsheet data analysis (MS Excel, PowerBI)
Good collaboration and communication skills, able to enter into technical discussions in a logical and coherent fashion in both oral presentations and written reports, to colleagues, non-technical staff and clients
Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams
Any programming skills in FME or languages such as VBA or Python would be advantageous
