As Product Lead, you will lead a high-performing team for our biggest product on the platform. You will be working with other product leads and the head of product to deliver a growing and scalable business. This is a business leadership role for an energetic, entrepreneurial individual looking to make their mark on the world and drive us towards our platform vision: Engineering innovation on demand.

What you will contribute to the team;

  • Ultimate accountability for the product and delivering a successful business - product development, marketing, sales, delivery and customer success
  • Hold and foster a compelling product vision, rallying everyone around that future including our staff and clients
  • Build an insanely great product that turns customers into fans
  • Lead, motivate and inspire our team to build a great business. Lead, motivate and inspire our external market to raise the profile of Moata Geospatial and ensure commercial success
  • Work closely with key business areas to achieve main KPIs - ARR, MAU, NPS
  • Demonstrate a literacy and passion for geospatial technology and the ability to connect clients' challenges to scalable digital solutions
  • Develop and implement a global network across Mott MacDonald to support product success
  • Commercial management across the entire deployment lifecycle from early prospect to project close, supported by our sales, delivery and operations teams
  • Accountable for budgets and business spend
  • Ensuring best practice business process is followed.
  • Turning customer into fans
Candidate Specification :

Required for the position of Product Lead;

A dynamic, entrepreneurial, passionate person with solid industry knowledge and the desire to lead the growth of an exciting product business that is proven and ready to scale to the next level. A growth mindset, ambition and energy are characteristics that are needed for this challenging role that will shape the way geospatial technology is used within the engineering & infrastructure sector. We want you to be our product CEO.


The successful candidate must be a team player and effective communicator, confident in their capability, whilst able to recognise areas for their development and that of the people around them. They should naturally be a strategic thinker with the ability to execute a strategy and develop business with clients, supported by the wider Mott MacDonald team. They must be able to think creatively and inspire others through the ability to paint a picture of the future for colleagues and clients alike, engaging at their level.

  • Experience in leading teams to deliver and grow a business
  • Excellent knowledge of digital technology, ideally with experience in managing and delivering other mapping focused products
  • Understanding of client challenges and opportunities of spatial technology within the Engineering and infrastructure sector
  • A client-centric mindset with demonstrated experience in building authentic and trusting relationships
  • Networking and building connections
  • Demonstrable experience of strategic and innovative thinking in the context of providing solutions to clients' needs
  • Significant experience of managing business needs such as budgets, commercial contracts, growth targets and other key indicators used to monitor success
  • A willingness to work with a global team that stretches time zones
  • A degree / post-graduate qualification(s) in a relevant discipline; and,
  • Membership of a relevant institute, preferably at a chartered or equivalent level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels
  • Outstanding presentation, writing and leadership skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
