Job Description

Our Defence & Security sector is a key growth area for the firm. We develop and deploy diverse, market leading capabilities. Working in partnership with our Defence & Security clients, at PA we create solutions and identify opportunities that build a safe, secure and sustainable human future.

The key purpose of this role is to support the Head of Marketing for Public Services and Defence to design and execute an effective global marketing strategy and plan, to deliver the growth objectives of the sector. This role requires an inquisitive and resilient team player, focused on delivering outstanding results in a fast-paced professional services firm. The successful candidate will be required to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and collaborate closely with functional team members to get the best from a busy group.

Working as part of the global marketing team, you will support all marketing activity within the sector, using elements across the marketing mix, alongside specialists in PR, thought leadership, digital and our in-house creative design agency. You'll draw on consulting sector experts, knowledge of best practice insight and communications, and strong commercial acumen to ensure the delivery of an inspiring, ambitious, and impactful marketing strategy and plan.

We are looking for a curious and inquisitive mindset and a commercially savvy thinker. Experience of consulting or professional services is preferred, as well as sector experience and knowledge, though not critical. An interest in defence, security or the military is ideal. Experience in public sector, infrastructure or transport will also be considered. PA’s innovative work will interest those who enjoy the innovative application of technology to business issues.

  • Work collaboratively with the Head of Marketing for Public Services and Defence to shape the direction of the marketing strategy. Provide the marketing team with strategic direction and insight to ensure that plans align, support and deliver against business objectives
  • Lead on the delivery and implementation of the marketing strategy and plan for the sector, from planning through to delivery through to measurement and tracking.
  • Develop a working understanding of sector issues, competitors, and the media, event and influencer networks which will put PA at the heart of the industry debate
  • Provide strategic support for the sector marketing programme. Manage the effective expenditure of marketing budget and own related ROMI targets
  • Anticipate market developments and identify what and how PA can add value to customers in order to market insights and propositions to target customers
  • Communication Skills: written, presentations, social media, design skills. Able to craft wide range of compelling communications including emails, notes, reports, invites, briefings, speeches, external communications etc. in line with PA's tone of voice guidelines and emails subject lines should be used effectively to get their point across
