For our Consumer team in London, UK we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist.

As we accelerate our journey, the Consumer profiling and Audience team’s mission is to deeply understand our prospects and consumers' needs and fulfil them better than anyone else. This team will be acting as the cohesive force that underpins PMI’s consumer-centric, data-driven strategy. You'll be working together with a mix of talents in data, analytics, science, technology, marketing and media. You’ll constantly look for effectiveness, efficiencies and big wins: What can we do better? Where can we scale?

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist. You’ll gather audience insights from quantitative and qualitative data and work with data and consumer engagement to implement targeting solutions globally across multiple verticals.

In this position you will:

  • Enable data-driven consumer engagement by providing relevant consumer segment, predictive scores, and profiles;
  • Support the acquisition and retention efforts with algorithmic solutions (Next Best Action) using CDP and DMP data;
  • Develop targeting and retargeting strategies with the team and deliver audience insights based on qualitative and quantitative data;
  • Deliver comprehensive descriptive analyses answering business questions in order to produce actionable insights and support ad-hoc requests with exploratory analyses;
  • Summarize and simplify analytical results through reports and consequently interpret and translate insights into clear business recommendations;
  • Gather key audience learnings from markets, ensure the coherence of audiences across markets with global segmentation and predictive models;
  • Collaborate closely with Consumer Programs, Consumer Experience teams, other data and business analysts to generate comprehensive analytical deep-dive analyses for online and offline marketing campaigns;
  • Manipulate large volumes of raw data to produce structured data sets for analysis;
We are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or Master’s degree in a related field;
  • Sound work experience in either Marketing Analytics or Consumer Value Management;
  • Experience in direct-to-consumer businesses is a plus;
  • Theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in statistical modelling, preferably with consumer data;
  • Significant experience in analyzing online and offline data;
  • Very strong analytical and quantitative skills with a demonstrated ability to interpret and leverage data to drive decision making;
  • Expertise in programming languages for data analytics (Python and SQL are must);
  • Experience with PowerBI is a plus;
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly ramp up on new tools and technologies;
  • Ability to link data findings into business actions;
  • Ability to manage in an environment of uncertainty, ambiguity, and complexity with diverse and senior partners.
