Joining Enterprise Analytics & Data

The Enterprise Analytics and Data (EAD) team is to enable consumer intimacy and the intelligent enterprise. We are driving, scaling and monetizing our investment in data to drive faster decisions, personalize consumer experience, and realize top-line and bottom-line impact across the value chain.

To unleash the value of data for PMI, we are driving a holistic data and analytics transformation program including the shift to a federation of data & analytics skills and capabilities to accelerate PMI on the journey to become data driven

Your ‘day to day’

In this role you will serve as a cross-functional leader to guide the implementation of our Domain driven approach as part of the analytical - Business Intelligence - hub, in our hub and spoke framework. You will guide the organization in relation to the semantic integrity of our analytical domain specific data sets. You will leverage a metadata driven framework to develop and maintain the semantic Integrity in close cooperation with data governance and data architects. You’ll ensure for in- and external teams to adhere to PMI’s principles, policies, and standards. You will facilitate the evolution of the framework and corresponding capability building activities as well as implement key governance aspects in line with our data governance program, to assure semantic integrity to the analytical data domains.

Below are the main accountabilities by area of responsibility:

  • Build and manage the capability framework behind domain driven analytical semantic integrity. Tied to our data publication capability for Business Intelligence.
Ensure a strong roadmap on capabilities, guardrails, controls and sharing practices taking into account the build out of our ecosystem to define the symantic setup for our business intelligence hub.
  • Ensure the framework and roadmap are interconnected within the broader Enterprise Analytics and Data function and can fully leverage and augment our metadata capabilities, data governance ,data architecture and access policies and frameworks.
  • Work closely with domain data architects as well as Data governance managers to size the use of established capabilities and their required evolution. Validate the quality and usability with the Business intelligence Community of practice.
  • Create an integrated plan to implement the guardrails on managing the hub in relation to the spokes and maintaining a governed oversight on semantic integrity across. Ensure governance over mandatory practices. Build capabilities to ease and facilitate insight and oversight.
  • Define the approach to support our strategic roadmap for Executive BI and advanced analytics over time, taking into account our changing IT landscape and data schemas. Ensure capability to distinguish data coming from the hub versus the data coming from the spokes.
  • Develop approaches towards discovery and governance insights exposing duplication, near duplicates and changed semantics, utilizing the metadata strategy and capabilities as well as novel approaches on providing feedback on usability of the datasets.

Who we’re looking for


  • Bachelor/Master degree in Business, Engineering, Information Management or Information Technology,
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken

Work experience:
  • Minimum 5 years in a Data, Analytical or Engineering function on Business Intelligence development.
  • Minimum 2 years in a multinational corporate environment demonstrating exposure and/or expertise in Commercial, Marketing, Consumers, Commerce. Combining with Project Management and agile ways of working would be a plus.

Skills and expertise:

  • Deep and broad knowledge of Business intelligence and data governance principles, capabilities and metadata practices as well as good knowledge of data modeling practices. With a proven track record in large scale analytics.
  • Exhibits business acumen and understanding of organizational data domains and key challenges
  • Leader who collaborates effectively across corporate functions and regions with strong influencing capabilities that can build consensus and drive change
  • Ability to implement global practices and governance mechanisms
  • Strong business Intelligence and data knowledge, dealing with variety of data and sources: master, transactional, IoT preferably in a hub and spoke environment
  • Strong communication and writing skills in English
