We are currently looking for an External Affairs Strategic Research Manager who will lead the execution of analysis and outcome-based research to identify the most compelling data points, trends, and analysis which can be used to develop and deploy our EA campaigns.

  • Analyze country indicators to identify the most compelling data points for external engagement
  • Coordinate production of regional and global reports which examine the intersection of illicit trade in tobacco and nicotine-containing products, tobacco harm reduction, and PMI’s smoke-free ambition.
  • Immerse yourself in the political landscape of countries to understand how tobacco harm reduction fits into the context of countries where we operate. This will be done through analysis of past voting trends, national priorities, and emerging issues.
  • Design infographics and other data visualization which can be used in external engagements.

Who we’re looking for:
  • Has at least 7 years’ work experience in either a major corporation, issue advocacy organization, consultancy, or political organization conducting research on public policy topics.

  • Detail-oriented mindset.
  • Strong project management skills to engage and collaborate with external agencies
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office, PowerBI, and analytical software packages.
