Data Protection Analyst

Your role in our Mission
Our mission is to make the world a better place to work and to achieve this mission we need to ensure our reward and recognition product is developed to the highest standards and continues to remain ahead of the market. This will include overseeing all elements of its development, delivery, and ongoing maintenance.

You will be working closely with Reward Gateway’s Data Protection Officer, providing assistance and mitigating the occurrence of data protection/privacy breaches, and maintaining company compliance with data protection/privacy regulations. You will help maintain the Privacy & Data Protection framework and keep it, and relevant records, up to date with legislation to ensure and demonstrate that we are mitigating data protection risks.

The role requires you to delight your customers across business units by fulfilling their needs, and working with the existing team, and our customers. The analyst role will involve close collaboration with various departments including sales, business operations, and finance. You will also work with our solicitors and external service providers to accomplish this.

Some of Your Responsibilities & Core Duties will be:

  • Providing advice to internal stakeholders on Data Protection
  • Assisting the team with incident management and responding to Data Subject Rights Requests
  • Supporting data protection training and awareness initiatives across the company
  • Assisting the business in developing the appropriate policies relating to data protection
  • Ensuring documentation and records are kept up to date including identifying trends and analysis
  • Ensuring changes are communicated to the appropriate internal staff and subcontractors, as required
  • Support a variety of stakeholders to develop policies and procedures that meet legal and industry standard requirements

The Experience and Key Skills you will have:

  • Genuine curiosity about privacy and data protection law
  • Strong knowledge of ongoing legislative, regulatory and judicial developments affecting GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
  • Practical experience in incident management and responding to Data Subject Rights Requests
  • Experience working on a global business
  • An understanding of contract and legal processes
  • Ability to offer considered and practical advice to the business and possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment without direct supervision and coordinate multiple projects
