Responsible for:

  • Ensuring digital content is produced to a very high standard
  • Maximising Business and Money’s performance over the Telegraph’s STARS metric
  • Working with graphics, picture desk, video and design to ensure content is accurate, well presented and produced
  • Writing sharp headlines and standfirst, engaging social media posts and producing outstanding newsletters
  • Managing the Business and Money homepages
  • Liaising closely with the Digital Production Editor to ensure targets and standards are met, and standing in for them in their absence
  • Working some early shifts and some weekends

Desirable skills required for the role

  • Experience of writing and sub-editing stories on digital platforms quickly and accurately
  • Experience within business and/or personal finance publishing, at national, regional or trade level.
  • Digital publishing skills, including knowledge of creating embeds such as polls, graphs etc.
  • Enthusiasm, imagination and hard work are all essential.
  • Able to respond well to pressure and adhere to strict deadlines.
  • Understanding of paywalls, social media and SEO.
  • Strong news sense and judgment.
