Description of role:
To work as part of a small team within the Thermal and Cold Spray Department using General workshop abilities, leading on to Mechanised and handheld systems, twin wire arc spray, plasma and flame spray.
You will assist with others to completing the scope of practical work in the laboratories.
This exciting role will involve working closely with team members, Project Leaders, Engineers whilst reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader / Manager.
The Individual is going to need to be able to work as an individual and as part of a team, to be able to think outside the box and problem solve, having some sort of Mechanical/practical or electrical background desirable. Some or basic knowledge on gas systems may also be desirable due to all the different gases we work with, however all training and understanding for this role will be supplied in house while working with the team.
You will possess some experience and have a general understanding in engineering/workshop abilities with attention to detail and practical problem solving, IT skills are desirable for this position but not essential as all training will be supplied in house.
You will be self-motivated, willing to contribute and learn both in a team environment and independently.
This position may require travel within the UK.
