Description of role:

The Research & Innovation Operations (RIO) team at TWI is looking to appoint an Innovation Platform Manager. This newly created position will be responsible for the newly developed TWI Innovation Platform which is focused helping clients to identify suitable funding calls for proposals across a wide range of thematic areas, developing consortia by searching and engaging partners, with varying proposed project scopes to creates competitive bids/applications.

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with experience of digital platform management.

You will see opportunities to drive engagement in the platform alongside continuously seeking to improve our digital offering to create value for the TWI Innovation Network (TWIIN) and TWI’s Industrial Membership.

The Innovation Platform Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategic vision for the platform.

Duties of the role include:

  • Development of Strategic plan to build up engagement with the platform.
  • Engage stakeholders in line with strategic plan.
  • Incorporation of all membership to the platform
  • Leverage of TWI Library services to add content to the platform
  • Incorporation and promotion of TWI’s Core Research Programme content through the platform.
  • Liaison with web developers
  • Liaison with members to provide great user experience, effective communications and management of enquiries.
  • User administration
  • Regularly update events and news pages
  • Provide and manage content updates for the platform such as regularly upload new funding opportunities and adding relevant technology tags.
  • Manage the promotion of Orbit with marketing colleagues


This position may require occasional travel both in the UK and abroad.
