We’re looking for a great senior commercial analyst for our Commercial Energy team. You'll have some energy and modelling experience, and a strong understanding of the drivers of the P&L, to help optimise our pricing and margin capture activities across the portfolio. Your commercial and modelling expertise will support the team in highlighting commercial risks via sensitivity and scenario analysis. And your vision and drive will ensure that UW’s energy portfolio is fit for the future. Here's the key skills and attributes we're looking for you to bring to this role:

The Energy team at UW is accountable for driving the optimisation of our energy P&L, ensuring our customers get the most from their energy provision. The team look to ensure existing customers have the best deals whilst future-proofing our energy supply and contracts. It's a team of absolute experts who thrive on cutting through the complexity to get to the heart of the commercial drivers of our success.

You'll report into the Head of Commercial Contracts and work in a small team with high impact.

We deliver progress. What you’ll do and how you will make an impact.

This role supports the delivery of a substantial and growing energy P&L with modelling of our metering portfolio and P&L, highlighting the key commercial levers on our contracts to optimise our activities, working with colleagues to determine risk and commercial strategy and providing key input into the management of major supplier relationships. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • P&L forecasting on our metering base
  • Commercial optimisation of UW metering contracts to capture margin
  • Sensitivity & scenario analysis for forecasting and risk management purposes
  • Work closely with colleagues in other areas of the business to support the metering operation with efficient commercial delivery
  • Provision of ad-hoc insight and analysis to senior management for decision making
