As our team continues to grow we are looking for a Scientist to lead the development of novel immunoassay platforms in our Eugene, OR facility. This role will be 50% lab environment and 50% office environment.

Your role includes:

  • Research and implement novel antibody platforms to deliver customer-focused solutions
  • Document optimized assays as commercialized research use only products
  • Transfer developed methods and products to manufacturing team and scale up.
  • Line management of Research Associate/s
  • Communicate experimental information both verbally and in technical reports
  • Provide technical support for products to key customers

Qualifications

About you:

You will have a PhD or M.S. in Immunology, biology, biochemistry or a closely related field with at least 5 years of experience in a laboratory setting using various antibody-based methods. You have a proven track record of developing quantitative cell-based assays and multiple laboratory techniques including ELISA, Western blotting, flow cytometry, high content imaging and others.

You are able to work on a diverse scope of projects with high complexity, can exercise sound judgment when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria. You have excellent communication and organization skills with a strong attention to detail.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in immunology and biochemistry and extensive experience in multiple laboratory techniques including but not limited to ELISA, Western blotting, flow cytometry, high content imaging, and other antibody-based laboratory research methods. You also have experience working in a Biosafety Level 2 or higher classified laboratory environment and are comfortable with prolonged stints of standing and/or sitting.
