Job Description

The Regional Marketing Director sets the overall direction and road map for regional marketing across our direct-to-customer markets – US/CA, EMEA, Singapore and ANZ. The role will drive alignment between the global marketing strategy and regional commercial needs. You will require an in-depth knowledge of the markets abcam play in, as well as the ability to launch compelling regional marketing programs that complement our global plan and capitalize on regional opportunities.

You will be the primary marketing stakeholder for our regional commercial leaders, so excellent communication, prioritization and senior stakeholder management skills are essential. You will lead and provide direction and to a regional team spanning multiple geographies and support your team to create frameworks and processes that define best practice and scale to deliver results across all markets.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Sets overall direction and regional roadmap aligned to global strategy and key regional commercial needs
  • Owns development of process to proactively identify regional risks and opportunities to deliver required commercial growth
  • Owns process to turn insight into action with global marketing channel owners
  • Develops process to integrate regional market insights, trends, and voice of customer into marketing plans
  • Creates feedback loops to bring regional priorities to the table
  • Builds and strengthens primary relationship with regional sales leaders and teams
  • Team management and development

Qualifications

You have a bachelors degree (minimum) in a scientific discipline with substantial experience building and implementing strategic multinational marketing programs that deliver significant growth in both consideration and purchase in D2C markets. You have experience leading and developing a marketing team with the ability to maintain and build relationships with key senior marketing and sales stakeholders. You have experience shaping regional strategies as part of a global marketing plan.

Travel both domestic and international is required (approximately 20% of time).
