Work Designation. Depending on your location within the continental US, this role may be hybrid or remote.

  • If you live within 50 miles of the Aflac offices located within the North Distribution Area, this role will be hybrid. This means you will be expected to work in the office for at least 60% of the work week. You will work from your home (within the continental US) for the remaining portion of the work week. Details of this schedule will be discussed with your leadership.
  • If you live more than 50 miles from the Aflac offices located within the North Distribution Area, this role will be remote. This means you will be expected to work from your home, within the continental US. If the role is remote, there may be occasions that you are requested to come to the office based on business need. Any requests to come to the office would be communicated with you in advance.

What does it take to be successful in this role?

  • Proficient in broker/career and industry practices as pertains to product, enrollment techniques, and service needs of the client
  • Demonstrated knowledge of complex business analysis
  • Proficiency in process improvement techniques; diagnostic and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong project planning and management skills, to include cost benefit analysis
  • Knowledge of employee relations to conduct and deal with employee issues in a proactive manner
  • Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact and negotiate with internal/external customers and senior management
  • Knowledge of the corporate governance process
  • Experience in a service related area such as client services, sales support, coordinating activities associated with the processing of group enrollments (preferred)

Education & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Eight to ten years of job related work experience and 5 years in a leadership/supervisory capacity
  • Understanding of Aflac/Aflac Group’s products and services, affiliated systems and applicable operational policies and procedures

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages the daily operations of a territory/region focused team engaged in developing new and innovative plans to increase penetration within Aflac’s entire book of business; leads, motivates, and coaches individuals on the team; creates a knowledgeable and effective environment that allows employees to adequately support Aflac Sales Teams in maximizing their account AP growth and assist with driving overall sales growth; monitors the progress of employees and identifies solutions for process gaps; and establishes priorities.
  • Maintains relationships and provides consultation to field sales force, Market Directors, TVPs, and RVPs to provide answers to sales opportunity pursuits; serves as liaison to the Territory Vice President, sales force, Aflac Group, and WWHQ
  • Analyzes production reports to determine and assess trends and positively impact those trends by aligning them with the appropriate education and coaching reinforcement; demonstrates strong communication skills and relationship building strategies to foster close working relationships with the Sales Force, and Market Directors; possesses the ability to convincingly articulate and deliver information and coaching on sales strategy offerings using various methods to include emails, market meetings, formal communications to territory, and regular one-on-one coaching sessions
  • Supports internal relationship team(s) retention efforts, and seeks opportunities for upsell and cross-sell of additional product lines; increases awareness of products and services with advisors, representatives, plan sponsors and participants in a more complex environment within assigned territory; possesses an understanding of Aflac’s True Group product.
  • Partners with the broker sales channel and career sales channel to develop the distribution strategies of growth within our existing book of business; maintains communication and alignment with both sales organizations to support our sales objectives
  • Understands broker landscape, case set-up, small to mid-size case management, underwriting and other internal resources to develop overall assigned broker strategy to deepen penetration within a broker’s book of business
  • Participates in broad projects that drive Strategic Asset Management goals and monitors project plans and execution progress to resolve any variances and provides accurate communication to region/territory; assists in accountability strategies for neighboring markets and provide guidance on new/existing strategies
  • Responsible for contributing to sales goals through strong relationships with internal partners working collaboratively to develop improved product and service solutions within existing accounts
  • Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with external clients to ensure a high level of satisfaction, increase revenues, renewal and retention; develops and maintains relationships with internal stakeholders to achieve sales objectives
  • Maintains expert-level knowledge over products/services and clients’ issues and needs; uses professional skills and concepts to solve a variety of client challenges
  • Provides strategic consultation and expertise related to group and traditional products and services; monitors client strategies to ensure profitability and strategic vision

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. The range has been created in good faith based on information known to Aflac at the time of the posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case. This salary range does not include any potential incentive pay or benefits, however, such information will be provided separately when appropriate. The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $260,000.
