We are looking for a passionate SOX Risk and Compliance Manager who is full of ideas to make valuable contributions to a high growth, innovative software company! Do you want to be a true business partner and not a "check the box" compliance manager? If so, this may be the perfect role.

As the SOX Risk and Compliance Manager, you will work with the Risk & Compliance team, Finance and G&A functions, technology managers, and subject matter experts, coordinating and driving efforts to lead SOX compliance advisory across large-scale transformation projects.

More about you:

You are comfortable working with management to analyze processes, business models, and discover risks, as well as recommend approaches to balancing them. You have experience in control advisory work in large-scale transformation projects. You not only have the technical expertise in SOX, but bring forward ideas to implement effective and efficient processes and controls that align with the business goals.
Having the ability to collaborate with and influence various global teams with some level of ambiguity and uncertainty is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the subject matter expert on SOX Compliance and advise cross-functional project leads in designing, developing and implementing internal controls
  • Advise senior management on approaches & methodology to optimize the internal controls portfolio focusing on prevention and automation
  • Partner with Internal Audit and business functions to proactively identify and assess compliance risks and guide business teams to remediate deficiencies
  • Facilitate reporting on risks, findings, mitigation plans, and controls performance
  • Contribute to risk and compliance awareness activities
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and commitment across multiple groups with multiple priorities
  • Always look for opportunities to improve processes and collaboration, in order to increase team output and team health

On the first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • 5-7 years of experience within technical Technology Risk Management, Compliance, Information Security or Internal/External Auditing
  • Experience leading SOX compliance in large-scale transformation projects (e.g. ERP implementation, M&A, RPA, etc.) in the software development business
  • Experience with control and risk frameworks, performing risk assessments, designing controls and overseeing mitigation projects
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, especially communicating across all levels and cross functional teams

Preferred but not required:

  • Consulting/Audit experience is preferred
  • Dual experience in SOX compliance across ITGC and Business controls
  • Previous controls automation experience(i.e. RPA) is a plus
