This team is part of Atlassian IT organization. Customer One started as a small team with the belief that Atlassian IT will be Atlassian's first, and best, customer. In the last year, we have doubled down on this priority, grown the team and the value that can be delivered through this vision. With our small team, we have influenced Atlassian product roadmaps, shared best practices with customers, and established ourselves as a valued Enterprise customer for Atlassian. We are now looking to hit the accelerator to unleash the vast potential of this program as Atlassian grows our Enterprise customer base.

We're hiring a Principal Product Manager for Customer One, reporting to the Team Lead of Inside Atlassian.

What you'll do

  • Partner with the team to help set direction, including developing a long-term strategy, aspirational vision, and defining the team's goals, quarterly OKRs and roadmap.
  • Partner with our engineering managers and product teams to identify opportunities for new Atlassian product uses within IT.
  • Define and prioritize the roadmap for the team to communicate with technical and partners, and work with the engineering manager to deliver proof of concepts, MVPs and bring products to 'market' with defined timelines
  • Expertise in building partnerships and driving collaboration across technical and functional team members to accomplish customer outcomes.
  • Expert level product skills with business mind and customer empathy.
  • Manage and build the product roadmap to deliver customer value and demonstrate progress while working with Engineering team to resolve trade-offs.
  • Can create and discuss product proposals and user stories that make sense to both our users and engineering teams.
  • Build the product from strategy to technical details

Your background

  • Have 5+ years of product management experience with a focus on building products from scratch
  • Enjoy learning and trying new things and have a curious mindset that embraces creativity, optimism, and failing-fast
  • Experience of Agile (Scrum) project methodology and practices
  • You are curious about latest industry trends, hype-cycles, and inspiring technology
  • Have experience leading/prioritizing product roadmaps partner engagement
  • Comfortable working, interviewing and iterating with people through exploration of new concept, prototyping (low and high) and testing
  • Know when to park an idea (fail fast) and move onto the next one
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian tools
