Working at Atlassian

Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

To help our teams work together effectively, this role requires you to be located in the Pacific, Central, or Eastern Timezones.
Your future team
Atlassian is searching for UX Researchers to join our growing team of research experts. Atlassian's mission is to unleash the potential of teams all over the world. You will define and conduct research that not only informs our ultimate mission, but feeds the design, strategy and development of our products and platforms. You will join a smart, passionate team who work together to improve our research craft and help Atlassian build better experiences for our customers.
Unfortunately, we do not offer U.S. work visa sponsorship to F-1/OPT, J-1/TN, or H-1B student graduates at this time.

What you'll do

  • Report to a Research Manager and conduct generative and evaluative research to help improve our products and platforms.
  • Partner with teams such as product management, design, marketing, data science, and engineering to influence product and platform design decisions and direction.
  • Collaborate with other research specialities to bring depth to your insights.
  • Communicate research insights in credible, creative ways to help teams understand the needs of our customers.

Your background

  • You are currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelors or Postgraduate program and graduating by Spring/Summer 2023.
  • You will bring about 1 year's experience designing and conducting user research. We would love to hear stories of how your research influenced decision-making.
  • You will have a background in qualitative (and some quantitative) research methods. We will look for your knowledge of when, why, and how to apply these methods.
  • You will be proficient in data management and data analysis. We hope to see engaging techniques for sharing research insights.
  • Please note: At this time, this role is only open to entry-level candidates with less than a year of professional experience (this does not include internships/co-ops)

Our perks & benefits

To support you at work and play, our perks and benefits include ample time off, an annual education budget, paid volunteer days, and so much more.
