Working at Atlassian

Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or return to an office as they reopen (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Are you interested in helping to improve the working lives of people at the largest enterprise companies around the world, while solving problems with proven market demand?

Enterprise Agility is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer (preferably a Full Stack Engineer with a strong backend focus) located in the US to join our team of trailblazers. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a greenfield development effort right at the starting gate! You’ll be an integral part of building a new Enterprise Agility application, which will likely involve:

  • Collaborating with product and design to chart a path for our customers.
  • Designing and building application APIs and business logic, and also contributing to user experience development.
  • Implementing data ingestion pipelines and integrations with Atlassian products and third party applications.
  • Building reports based on financial and investment data with our Analytics and Visualization Platform.
  • Maintaining operational excellence via CICD pipelines and production alerting and monitoring schemes.
  • Mentoring new engineers and teammates.

Required Qualifications

  • You have 7+ years of experience in software development and a proven track record of delivering customer value.
  • You have experience building a service from the ground up – from requirements gathering, designing, implementation, deployment, and ownership.
  • You’re an expert on modern backend technologies (particularly Java w/ Spring Boot or Kotlin, REST, GraphQL, and SQL) as well as cloud technologies (especially AWS, but also Azure or GCP).
  • You’ve worked with modern micro-service architectures and are comfortable with Docker/Kubernetes.
  • You have experience building integrations and data synchronizations with event pub/sub models.
  • You’re comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and quick iterations.
  • You know a lot, but you’re ready to learn even more.
  • You’re a collaboration champion, an experienced team leader, and a great communicator.
  • Experience with DDD/CQRS is a plus!
