As our dedicated Privacy Technical Program Manager for all-things related to incidents, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the intersection of privacy and technology at Atlassian. Privacy is a rapidly evolving sector, and the collaboration between privacy, incident management, crisis management and engineering is increasingly important. This role forms the bridge between the legal and technical worlds, empowering privacy to be a foundational component in our incident response process. You will report directly into the Privacy Legal team, but work cross-functionally across teams in security, engineering, product, IT, marketing, and others.
Our customers expect and deserve a cloud software that is compliant with industry standards and puts their privacy first. In this role you will lead an effort that ensures we have a continuous and comprehensive view into our privacy posture and ability to respond when the unexpected happens. You'll drive projects to create and evolve tools and processes that will make incident response an automated, well-oiled machine.
Successful candidates will have a solid track record of program and project management and SaaS software development and will have demonstrated excellent leadership, along with superior organizational and communication skills in leading teams and programs to deliver successful outcomes. In addition, the right candidate will possess learning agility in the privacy sector (with our legal team's help, of course), experience in incident management, and an understanding of business strategy, product direction and technical architecture, so they can make decisions to accelerate initiatives at any level of depth.
- BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience on software teams as a development manager or TPM
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience leading projects spanning multiple teams, covering all of the following
- Accountable for creating and driving the schedule
- Making critical and timely decisions to keep projects on track
- Tracking and managing risks and dependencies
- Communication to stakeholders
- Experience with achieving privacy compliance such as GDPR and CCPA
- Ability to exercise technical judgment in solving software engineering challenges
- Experience with SaaS on public cloud
- Experience in software development in one or more general-purpose programming languages
- Experience with agile processes
- Experience building tools, dashboards, and automation to increase transparency and reduce toil
- Experience in incident management
At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $150,000 - $230,000
Zone B: $135,000 - $207,000
Zone C: $124,500 - $190,900
Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.
