The Anaplan Senior Model Builder is responsible for the successful design, build, implementation, and support of Anaplan-based solutions. The ideal candidate is a team player who possesses strong analytical skills, has experience building financial models and enjoys solving and streamlining complex business problems.


Day-to-day Responsibilities

  • Provide feasibility analysis of user requirements / new feature requests
  • Translate enhancement requirements from the business into conceptual architectural design, functional requirements and use cases
  • Requirements management, data compilation and design
  • Validation of requirements
  • Validation of data that feeds the model
  • Build assigned requirements
  • Assist in data validation, testing, and overall deployment of new models
  • Provide production support processes including routine operational activities, maintenance support activities, and issue resolution
  • Monitor data flows to and from business teams’ systems to ensure all data is up-to-date and accurate

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Finance, Business Management, or comparable (preferred)
  • 3+ years of professional experience with a multinational corporation and/or a professional services firm focusing on technology, enterprise performance management, business solutions, FP&A and/or digital enablement
  • 2+ years of planning system experience (Anaplan preferred)
  • Experience leading teams and managing collaboration across geographies
  • Savvy analytic and problem-solving skills 
  • Technology & Experience Design Skills
  • Strong networking skills
  • Experience identifying and resolving issues independently (e.g., troubleshooting) 
  • Possess a customer service orientation with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations 
  • Consistent delivery and follow through on commitments 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite - MS Excel, MS Access, MS SharePoint
  • Great organizational skills with attention to detail 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills 
  • Ability to effectively communicate information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Required Technical & Business Skill Set
  • Level 2 & 3 Anaplan Model builder certification
  • Financial Planning & Analysis experience (strongly preferred)
  • Deep understanding of data architecture and integration across platforms
  • Anaplan Solution Architect Certification (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile)
  • Experience in business analysis and requirements gathering and management
  • Knowledge of Social Collaboration tools
  • Demonstrated ability to think and work systematically and logically
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication
  • Negotiation skills
  • Results oriented / self-directed ability to drive change in unstructured environment

Compensation for roles at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York and Colorado as set forth below and information on benefits offered is here.

Denver: $106,250 - $125,000
Los Angeles: $122,400 - $144,000
San Diego: $118,150 - $139,000
Seattle: $122,400 - $144,000
