About The Role


Avanade is looking for a Global Industry Security Solutions Lead, this is predominantly a practice and service building role, focused with the opportunity to support on pre-sales activities around the globe.


We provide the unique opportunity to help develop market leading Microsoft platform focused Security and Compliance Services, that are easy to sell and solution, whilst solving complex Security & Compliance challenges.


The Global Industry Security Solutions Lead role is a mixture of Industry Security Solution development and technology thought leadership, as well as customer-facing solutions pre-sales, playing active role in transforming our clients’ Security and compliance postures.


In this role, you will be responsible for development of Industry Security solutions, Industry Security Point of View (POV), associated IP / assets / accelerators and their performance from a sales and revenue perspective, therefore it is key that you can engage with our Industry Network and our clients with your solutions, growing sales, and revenue year on year in line with growth targets.


The Global Industry Security Solutions Lead involves leading the pre-sales solutioning and estimating of Industry Security and Compliance solutions, ensuring they are repeatable, simple to sell, easy to implement and helps clients in realizing the value from the solution.


To be successful in the role, you should be comfortable with full lifecycle (discovery / assessment, analysis, design, build, test, deployment, and managed services) of Industry specific Security solutions across different Security domains. You should be a self-motivated leader and trusted advisor, a significant presence in any meeting, bringing the voice of Security Risk to our clients and our colleagues, helping them to identify and mitigate risk with innovative and differentiated security solutions.


You will also identify potential business opportunities for Avanade to further help our clients address their cybersecurity and privacy challenges.You should be passionate about supporting and developing other members of the team, both junior and senior, helping them to know what you know, and learning from others that understand things that you may not.


About You as a Global Industry Security Solutions Lead


  • You are a leader in the space of Industry specific Security and Compliance solutions with a deep understanding of Industry Vertical specific Security and Regulatory Compliance requirements.
  • You have experience in implementing Industry specific (e.g., PCI, HIPAA) and Region-specific Compliance controls (e.g., GDPR, DORA, CIS Executive Order)
  • You have experience in Industry Security Solution development lifecycle, establishing Go-To-Market campaigns, Pipeline Management and Capacity & Capability plan for the solutions.
  • You have experience in implementing cybersecurity related frameworks, supported by policies, standards, and procedures, in line with internal and/or external compliance requirements.
  • You offer clients industry specific security solutions that improve the way they operate, designing and deploying creative security & compliance solutions using Zero Trust principles.
  • You develop and cultivate senior client relationships in the clients’ Security function, including CISO level and other key security buyers, such as CIOs.
  • You evaluate Industry specific security & compliance trends, evolving threats, risks and vulnerabilities and applies Solution Architect mindset to develop solution to mitigate risks.
  • You have experience in at least 2-3 Security domains (Cloud Security, Data Security & Privacy, IAM, Application Security, SGRC, Managed Security Services) and can document Security Solution reference architectures, blueprints and patterns.
  • You come from a Consulting background with strong customer-facing skills, the ability to understand their requirements and produce high quality written proposals.
  • You will be expected to demonstrate experience in Cybersecurity and Compliance solution development atleast across 2 industry verticals (FSI, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, Life sciences, Public Sector) and to have working knowledge of all of the areas and how they interact: Security Frameworks (e.g. NIST, CIS, CSA STAR, MITRE ), Microsoft Security Platform (Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Priva, Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender suite, Microsoft Entra), Security Operations & Governance and more.
  • You are willing and able to travel, potentially across several different clients.

Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role

California: $213,000 – $251,000

New York: $213,000 – $251,000

Washington: $200,000 – $236,000
