Meaningful Work From Day One
Reporting to the SVP Global Director - JD Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, and Logistics, this position will be responsible for the strategic direction of B-F’s planning, distribution, and procurement operations. The Director leads all supply chain activities pertaining to planning, logistics (domestic and international), and procurement (production and technology). This role will partner functionally across all segments of the business; locally as well as globally to leverage enterprise scale, thought leadership and strategic relationships. The VP will be responsible for setting a group strategy oriented towards efficiency and responsiveness.

What You Can Expect

Planning:
Provide strategic direction to the supply chain planning team to identify and implement quantitative forecasting tools to drive improvements in forecast accuracy.
Develop and implement a strategy to ensure our planning process enables business growth.
Lead the global demand planning organization with direct responsibility for stock levels
Responsible for developing processes and practices to improve BF’s overall production planning leveraging S/4Hana.
Use data as a tool to identify and make recommendations to improve inventory health
Participate in regularly schedule Integrated Business Planning meetings to review demand needs and provide direction ℅ attainment.

Logistics:
Provide strategic direction to the logistics team and manage vendor relationships with inbound carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, etc. and support Inbound Administration while addressing ocean freight issues and continuous improvement initiatives.
Develop and implement a technology strategy to provide total transportation visibility to groups and partners.
Execute on requirements for reporting, analytics, and data visualizations to support inventory optimization goals.

Sourcing:
Develop leading edge supply chain programs and capabilities which drive incremental sales revenue through the reduction of distribution costs, improvement of speed to market, or meeting unmet customer needs.
Develop relationships with supplier leadership and top decision makers with strategic suppliers.
Teach, coach and mentor the Category Management teams to become proficient in advanced procurement concepts such as Strategic Sourcing, Make/Buy Decision Process, Sales / Operations Planning, Supplier Agility, and Procurement Analytics.
Provide for the discovery and on-boarding of new domestic & global suppliers that broaden our marketplace product offering and competitive sell position. Foster strong relationships with all suppliers.
Engage in strategic negotiations to achieve favorable conditions and strong supplier partnerships.

Ensure that corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and innovation are themes in all activities.
Prepare reports for leadership using business metrics and KPls.
Effectively address and steer risk management by staying current with evolving quality factors as product complexity increases.
Experience with implementation and use of technologies that enable improved inventory visibility, quality alerts, actions, and compliance.

We Are Looking For People Who Have

Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years’ experience in an operations management position. Extensive understanding of broad global supply chain competencies including sourcing, capacity planning , and logistics across the value chain. Demonstrated experience leading large teams of salaried professionals. Global experience required. Strong supplier relationships and negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written, verbal and presentation). Solid working knowledge of best practices in planning and sourcing systems including systems selection, implementation and upgrades. In depth working knowledge of leading-edge manufacturing and materials management processes. In depth understanding of SAP or similar ERP technologies.
