Supports BF Research & Development projects by performing testing, experimentation, product development or process engineering research. Builds on experience and knowledge of established scientific tools and procedures. Customizes scientific approach to solve new problems and identify new approaches to existing ways of working. Takes requests, implements testing, analyzes, and interprets data and makes recommendations with minimal supervision.
What You Can Expect
Support and lead the transfer of new products and processes from the lab to the pilot plant and through to the successful implementation at our global production facilities. Act as a liaison between R&D and production for startup initiatives by utilizing the pilot facilities for specification development and verification, and operating procedure development. Identify, evaluate, and implement new technologies to advance the business and solve R&D problems consistent with Brown-Forman strategies.Work directly with BF production sites to transfer new products, technologies, and processes from idea to implementation.Lead and execute experiments with minimal supervision with cross functional teams from R&D, production, and corporate engineering.Provide engineering support to other functional areas within R&D.Serve as a key technical resource to the plants and production areas supporting all aspects of distilled spirit production including, fermentation, distillation, maturation, barrel making and processing. Builds relationships with customers across the organization. Understands the business background to the work requests and adapts the approach accordingly. Analyze and interpret data using established methods, and research new methods. Issues reports to internal and external customers with minimal supervision. Makes recommendations to customers. Leads and coordinates implementation of assigned projects internal to own function with minimal supervision. Participates in cross-functional teams as a functional representative of the Process R&D team.
We Are Looking For People Who
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical etc.) and 2+ years of process engineering or related experience. Strong computational skills relevant to discipline
Basic lab knowledge. Knowledge of statistics. Strong communication skills.

Experience: Experience: 3+ yrs experience in alcoholic beverage or food industry. Project leadership experience in relevant discipline.
