Meaningful Work From Day One
Supports Brown-Forman Global Research and Development by designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines that collect, store, analyze, and visualize production data through dashboards, data marts, and other applications. This role works with the team of Scientists and Engineers responsible for refining and improving our industry-leading production processes while following the direction of Enterprise Data Management and the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence (Global Delivery Team) to ensure sustainability through globally established standards for delivery and development of data integration solutions.

What You Can Expect

Collaborates with engineers and scientists throughout Global Production to define and break down their Data Engineering and Business Intelligence needs into actionable steps. Leverages standard processes to build small to medium sized business intelligence (BI) solutions – data sets, automation pipelines, queries, reports, and dashboards – or components of larger data projects for Global Research & Development. Requires advanced SQL experience and moderate to advanced Tableau experience. Creates, populates, and maintains data marts from a wide variety of sources (SAP, Salesforce, APIs, PLC data, unstructured data) utilizing standard methodologies. Requires advanced familiarity with relational databases and Hadoop. Participates in technology architecture and design reviews. Develops and maintains timelines for product delivery and feature implementation. Writes and maintains documentation for all processes. Digests complex needs into multiple smaller problems that can be solved with direct and simple solutions. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout Global Production, reaching agreements through flexibility, compromise, and experience. Communication focused on understanding needs and managing delivery expectations and timelines.

We Are Looking For People Who Have

The following Education and Experience; Bachelor's Degree inScience, Technology, Engineering, Math, Economics, Analytics, or Data related discipline and 4+years direct experience working in an Analytics, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Reporting or Data related roles, or Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Economics, Analytics, or Data related discipline and 2+ yr direct experience working in an Analytics, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Reporting or Data related roles.

Technical Experience Required

  • 2+ years of experience with R

  • 2+ years of SQL experience in a professional environment

  • 2+ years of hands-on execution of data warehousing techniques including data

  • modeling, data cleansing, data quality, and ETL using tools like Talend, Alteryx,

  • Informatica, or similar technologies.

  • 2+ years of Tableau experience in a professional environment.

Preferred Experience
4+ years of SQL experience in a professional environment

4+ years of experience with Python, R, or Java.

4+ years of hands-on execution of data warehousing techniques including data
modeling, data cleansing, data quality, and ETL using tools like Talend, Alteryx,
Informatica, or similar technologies.
4+ years of Tableau experience in a professional environment.
