About the Team:

The Cloud Test team is responsible for improving the quality of the Meraki platform. This includes evangelizing and developing quality processes, partnering with product teams around testing strategies as well as building new test frameworks to support quality initiatives.

A Day in the Life of a Technical Lead, Test Engineer:

We are looking for engineers who thrive on delivering enterprise-grade cloud software. You will work with other engineering teams to help improve their quality process, define a roadmap and develop metrics around quality processes. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong technical skills to put their abilities to work in an exciting growth environment.

Example projects in this team:

  • Evangelization and educating teams on testing standard processes
  • Articulating test plans and prioritizing them for automation
  • Integrate end-to-end tests into the build pipelines and develop metrics (test pass rates/importance, etc.)
  • Assisting in the development of our testing framework
  • Consult on building test plans for our initiatives
  • Mentor other engineers on how to write quality tests & improve existing ones

You are an ideal candidate if you have:

  • You have 10+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining test suites, automation efforts, and delivering effective & scalable solutions
  • At least 3+ years of leading, managing or advising a Test automation team
  • You have developed quality processes for organizations
  • Prior experience in creating and using test automation frameworks for functional, UI, API, and performance testing.
  • Ability to read code and solve the technical issues
  • Take initiative on opportunities to improve the QA process, and to expand test coverage and capabilities.
  • Proficiency in one of the programming or scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Golang, Ruby, or python.
  • Experience with building, supporting, maintaining, and scaling automation in a CI/CD environment.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with containerization technologies docker, Swarm, or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Gerrit, Jenkins, and GitLab
  • Experience with Mobile testing frameworks
  • Experience with networking
  • Experience with Rails
