About the team

This is all seamlessly managed remotely via the cloud, where the team continues to craft intuitive interfaces which make investigating events of interest as easy as possible.

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate your relentless customer focus with the Hardware and Product Management teams by defining, refining, and iterating on the strategy for future camera products
  • Develop the long-term technical vision and roadmap within, and often beyond, the scope of your teams

  • Adapt and deploy software engineering processes through the management team reporting to you that allow them to consistently deliver innovative and high-quality cameras on time
  • Refine our embedded software strategy that supports the rapid pace of innovation required to retain leadership in the enterprise camera market
  • Instill a culture of craftsmanship where development and quality engineers work together to deliver a high-quality experience throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of video streams, tracking and reacting to metrics which reflect the quality and reliability of our camera deployments in the field
  • Focus on the growth of your team, both as a unit and individually

You are ideal for this role if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience leading organizational improvements through software-engineering managers
  • 8+ years of embedded software development experience
  • Expert knowledge of how to develop, test, and ship hardware products powered by embedded Linux
  • A demonstrated ability leading process and culture changes that inspire and grow multi-disciplinary engineering teams

Bonus points for:

  • Knowledge of wired and wireless networking protocols
