Senior Program Manager
Are you a seasoned Senior Program Manager who likes creative thinking and collaboration and is highly motivated and ready to be challenged? We’re looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to join our Customer Engagement Program Management (CEPM) team.
As a Senior Program Manager, the focus will be on managing multiple marketing communication projects with numerous integrated deliverables across Expedia Group. You will have a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end project management that entails managing and working with creative and technical teams and partners to operate at scale and efficiency.
On top of that you will have expertise in integrated marketing, building partnerships and creating processes from the ground up. The ideal candidate must have ability to seamlessly pivot between overseeing multiple projects, developing schedules, key milestones, and trafficking deliverables. In order to be successful in this role the Senior Program Manager must be proactive with the ability to strategically think, and problem solve to best support the CEPM team, as well as key partners.
What you’ll do:
Work with global business stakeholders, product managers, creative and production teams, as well as channels in the development and review of project proposals to determine project goals and launch project initiatives
Lead project planning efforts to determine project scope, resourcing needs, scheduling, identify risks and issues and develop contingency plans
In coordination with project team members and resource managers, manage the day-to-day details of projects, including the plan, schedule, resources, task assignments, scope, communications, and risks
Support business needs by leading the effort to develop creative approaches to problem solving and ensuring quality deliverables
Report schedule, and delivery details on a regular basis to project stakeholders and leadership
Experience, knowledge, and proficiency with Project Management tools, especially JIRA
Foster open communication within the team on project planning and execution by facilitating project meetings
Who you are:
7+ years of experience as a program or project manager within a marketingorganization or similar experience
Demonstrated ability to map a project from conception to final product while satisfying all requirements and meeting project goals
Tech savvy with demonstrated aptitude for learning new systems, subject matter and processes quickly
First-class influencing skills, as well as experience working with cross-functional teams
Great communicator, able to clearly communicate issues, ideas and concepts both verbally and in written form
Must be detail and process oriented, and effective at influencing without authority and driving work through others
Must be able to negotiate with multiple stakeholders, be able to defend work, and also know when to accept direction
A strong drive for results, with a proven track record, often delivering under tight deadlines
The ability to creatively resolve issues, understanding business constraints of resources and timelines, while remaining adaptable and flexible
Experience in strategy development, while bringing objectivity and common sense/judgment
Organizational agility and strong stakeholder management and cross-group collaboration skills will be critical to success, with demonstrated ability to execute through influence
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, and anticipate and make tradeoffs to balance the business needs versus creative constraints
Ability to occasionally work flexible hours (e.g. Early morning or late night) to support projects in global locations, in addition to travel when required
Bachelor’s degree in related field; or equivalent related professional experience
